Thats a good price for an FRC. Optima batteries when they die, they are useless until restored properly. Its cammed plus the gas and plugs might be rough from sitting

If the A/C compressor is turning, you might need to "recalibrate" the blend door motors. Just pull the fuse for "HVAC" at the passenger side foot well, start the car, then reinstall the fuse and wait for the climate control to calibrate. Granted this is how you do it on the "dual zone" systems with LED read-out. I'm not sure about the manual single zone style with the dials for fan speed, temp, and foot/face selection. But I think you did pretty good on that car at $4k. Try rubbing alcohol, or "goof off" on that adhesive residue left by the plastic cover.

It has a Newer Cam. the car is a shaking, and a grumbling noise tells the story.

Rare vette you got there, most c5 were hatch back with targa top, that is Z06 territory there. You did well!

Very common for replacement alternators to not have the corvette protection diode in them. That causes the charge system fault.

That blue wire goes to a hood light I believe. It should be hot, the light will ground on hood. Generator "L" circuit is the battery warning lamp circuit. The regulator will ground the circuit to illuminate the light. Sometimes it is controlled by the PCM. If it sees the voltage below proper charging range the PCM will ground the circuit to turn on the warning light.

Sounds like it only has a cam and long tube headers because they weren’t done with the bill most likely

yes its has a cam.. and that optima battery should be good.. it's the alternator that killed it... as you know the alternator has to be bigger then the battery its charging

Looks like a capable track rat! You can remove the ABS module from the side of the pump and have it fixed. I had the same problem with a C6. Or, it could be because the fuse is pulled (again, track rat). I like it more than the Viper.

Maybe they put stock exhaust, threw in an old battery etc before auctioning off? Cam and long tube headers would've been more difficult to swap so they didn't bother. Anyway, seems amazing deal for 4k - any manual V8 is fun to drive let alone corvette.
