Can You Beat Batman: Arkham City Without Detective Mode?

I’ll never forget playing this game recently and someone was watching me and said “can I please see more than the abyss and blue skeletons for 2 seconds?”

The entire feel of this video is basically: "Yeah, some guys tried to kill me" "But they didn't."

Everyone else: "can I beat Arkham City While only using detective mode?"

These challenges are epic! But I’ve got to say unless you’re Batman Arkham Videos who’s basically the Arkham God himself you usually play with detective mode on at least 70% of the time so taking it away makes things soooooo difficult… (Yes I’ve attempted this challenge for the 4 games and it drove me crazy-)

I cannot get over how GOOD the mr.freeze boss fight is On my first ever play through of this game, I was ACTUALLY SCARED to fight him. I’m not joking, when I finally won I had to calm down afterwards because my legs were shaking so much.

I thought of a theoretical and potential way to use Smoke Pellets without getting forced into Detective Mode. Theoretical being maybe that if you're quick enough or do the right move such as a (I think it's called a Combat Roll) to get yourself enough distance in a short amount time, you can get yourself out of the smoke before it puts you into Detective Mode. Potential being that when you need to use it, instead of quickfiring it, equip the Smoke Pellet gadget and throw it instead. It'll just take a bit more time, an ounce of effort (as to deciding where you want to throw it), and it'll need to be thrown far enough away from you so the smoke's not deploying with you still in its radius

in the factory nearing joker's boss fight you don't need to just takedown the snipers at the office there's a generator in the same room (the one used earlier in the game to move the crane thingie) which you can hit with the rec to take everyone's guns away

I actually didn't know what the 'intended' method to get past the sniper at 14:05 was until this year. I always used either the Freeze Blast or Batarang to knock him down to get close.

The man is back again, doing crazy challenges. Count me in! Appreciate you taking note of this amazing franchise and finding different ideas to mess around with them.

If you ever get the chance and want a decent challenge, you should play the " I am the knight" mode in Arkham origins. It unlocks when you complete new game plus and you can't die.I think you would like it

4:46 You can glide right in over their heads. Or just wait a few seconds, they split up and walk away. 16:44 You can grapple up to the center section right from where you were instead of taking the long way around and going outside then into the vent.
