We, queen fans, are here for the whole thing! I promise we'd have stuck with you. Hope you do more.

This wasn’t a Queen crowd either at Live Aid. They weren’t on the roster until last minute. That’s how amazing Freddie was with a crowd. Freddie had 1.5 billion people in palm of his hand that day. Queen earned many fans after this. RIP to the greatest singer and front-man/woman ever in any band from any genre.

Freddie mercury is arguably one of the greatest live performers of all times.

Freddie was unapologetically him. In a time where it wasn't generally celebrated. His talent shone through and made people believe that as long as you're not hurting others, being who you are is to be celebrated and cherished. He was one in a million and the world is all the lesser without him.
  • Over 75,000 people attended the live show at the stadium. The crazy part was that 1.9 billion people from over 150 countries watched/ listened to the satellite broadcast. That was 40% of the world’s population at the time 🔥💯

Ahh, concerts in the 80s... No back tracks, no back harmonies, live bands. All this just shows the genius and talent of Freddie Mercury. He was an amazing artist ❤️❤️
  • The music industry will never have another that competes on the same level as Freddie

For 20min in 1985 Queen set the world on fire and became legend. 72,000 in England in Wembley stadium. 89k in Philadelphia. Make no mistake, this is the single greatest live performance in history. Freddie captivated, entranced and spellbound us all and it will never be forgotten.
  • Freddie wrote “crazy little thing called love” in the bath. He wrote the song in a couple of minutes on the guitar that he only could a couple of chords on. The song is inspired by Elvis Presley and he was one of Freddie’s idols. That’s why it sounds like the song Is elvis.

Brian plays guitar, John played bass, Roger played drums, Freddie played the crowd

Can't count the times I've watched this concert. Nobody could command a crowd that size like Freddie.
  • Still get chills watching this. No one like him, one of a kind. What an artist. 🫡

Freddy wrote Crazy little thing called love as an hommage to Elvis. That's probably why so many people think it was a song from the King instead of Queen.
  • Freddie didn’t want to remove his teeth because he was afraid that it would change his voice in a bad way.
  • 40% of the world watched them. Some live, some on television. Queen’s performance is considered the greatest of Live Aid. Freddie while battling vocal problems absolutely rocked the world!

Man, hearing the crowd singing along gives me goosebumps everytime. Queen was just so powerful live.

I was in high school when Live Aid happened, and I watched this live. I wasn't a Queen fan, I was there for other bands. But Freddie won me over, along with the whole room of musicians that was watching with me. His command of the stage is just stunning. Queen was the height of "arena rock" and very little today rises to that level of charisma.

Nobody has ever commanded a crowd like Freddy! Nobody

His voice is flawless and no autotune or pitch correctness.
