99% of dark souls 2's graphical power went into this dude's floor
-
-Are you the final boss of this DLC? -No, I'm just the janitor.
-
Fromsoftware really said "yeah this is the best boss in the game, give it the worst fucking runback"
-
i like to think that the only reason Sir Alonne is fighting you is because he just got done cleaning the floor and he sits down for a rest.....and then you walk in with your dirty shoes
-
No wonder the floor is spotless. This man wiped the floor with everyone.
-
Behold! The cleanest boss room in all of Dark Souls!
-
The floor is so well polished that Sir Alonne can slide across the arena with his socks.
-
I have seen many criticize "bad game design" in this fight, but it us clear that in reality, Alonne's tactical expertise is simply unmatched. He clearly made the floors of his arena slippery in advance so he could slide across them to strike us at incomprehensible speeds.

I never realize how epic are DS boss themes. Im too busy trying to save my sorry ass.

Artorias the Abysswalker, Sir Alonne, and Ludwig the Holy Blade walk into a bar...
-
"Fast roll with 30 Adaptability...how adorable"- Alonne

Actually fighting Sir Alonne in the dlc was an awesome surprise for me as the blacksteel katanas were my weapon for 99% of the main game of DS2 and I used parts of the alonne knight armor in my outfit. So walking into the boss room to see Sir Alonne standing there waiting for me. It felt like a student challenging the master to a duel. Favorite boss fight in DS2. Ivory king was more of a cinematic fight that always feels like some kind of movie finale and its great dropping in with your knights and summons to take on the charred army. But Alonne is boss that I always have the most fun fighting. It just feels right

One of the best tracks in the game...
-
All these years and this ost still goes as hard as the first time I ever heard it
-
This song honestly sounds like it came from the endgame portions of Darksouls3. Sort of reminds me of the title theme for Darksouls3 with the energy, power and weight it carries!
-
I love how much of a waltz this is, it's not just generic videogame music with repetitive drum patterns, there's actual direction, and a complex subtlety not commonly found in other games OST.
-
Purposefully dying so you can keep listening to the music.
-
You killed all his knights... now he's... alone
-
and don't forget to bow before the fight you honorless ganking fiends....
-
If it weren't for the title a lot of people would've thought this was from DS3.
