Abhinandan, being on old age Mirage, had destroyed one F16 plane. It was quite an embarrassment for Pakistan and the USA. In the very beginning, Pakistan claimed that they had caught one pilot and killed/ injured another pilot. It was Pakistan's F16 pilot who got injured and died. Pakistan failed to acknowledge this fact and so is the USA
