This video is for people looking get into miniature tabletop games, and specifically for those who like Star Wars and maybe want to switch from Warhammer 40k to Star Wars Legion. I (really) got into Star Wars Legion a year ago and I think it has earned a place amongst the greats like Warhammer 40K and other miniature wargames. But is it for you??

I paint mini's in Livestreams on Mondays and Wednesday. Friday is new video day!

Kinda funny how they are diving DEEP into the lore for extra characters, but are staying as far away as possible from the Sequel Trilogy.

This is one of the best videos I've seen that concisely explains core stuff about Legion that makes me want to give it a shot. Been looking at jumping in with a droid army.
  • Terrain also matters in this game. Theyre not just LOS blockers or stuff that slows you down, you are incentivized to hunker down and stay in cover in legion and even scale and climb the terrain to flank. Looking at you 40k that may as well just have blocks on the board cuz all 40k terrain does is block line of sight most of the time.

Great Video, I started playing this game 2 years ago. I really love it. It is fun and simple to play.

I’ve bought a looot of this game and painted it up. My first war game was song of ice and fire where I could store everything in vacuum trays. I’m having a hard time trying to figure out how to store all my painted minis. There is no room on the shelf!

Been Playing X-wing since 2016, but I just started playing Legion in early 2023. Went to my first tournament this January and the more I play Legion the more I love it! So glad I gave it a shot.

This looks like the card trays from our shop! If so, hope you're enjoying the files! Randomly came across this video. Great video!

Heavily recommend the Star Wars Legion Tabletop simulator mod. It has easy integration with JSON export list builders (Like 5th trooper), and it lets you test out builds and minis virtually before you buy them. Amazing mod.
  • Battle forces are a great way to start too. You get 2 sets of command cards in it usually the army specific cards and then the character specific cards. If you buy the starter set with just the dice and tools, you get the generic command cards too so you already have a good and diverse command hand to run in a skirmish game. Battle forced also give you a lot of support and corps units that you dont need to buy multiple of if youre starting out your army. The nice thing about legion is that they tend to put 2-4 of your cheap front line units into n box sets meaning you dont have to go out and keep buying individual sets of those units

Great video. Have been playing Legion for three years and I love it

I have seriously been considering getting into this game this year.

Oh, I plan on it. Been wanting to play this for so long, but friend groups only play 40k. With 40k not being my jam anymore, I’m excited to embark upon the Legion route

Nice guide. What are the glimpses of a battlereport you cut in? It looks pretty professional filmed tho

Due to a change in work commitments, I've had to move war gaming clubs. I've been slowly building a war gaming group involving Legion, Shatterpoint and Marvel: Crisis Protocol.
