There is a difference between evolution and growing up. Growing up is when a specimen of a species that hasnt been long on this planet yet slowly gets older. While this isnt always the case due to rare conditions, age causes this to happen: growth, knowledge, and more. Evolution is when for instance a moa transitions to an emu due to the habitat changing or new predators evolving over thousands of years. While this may not be the real case of the evolution that happened its still more realistic than calling aging evolution: Archaeopteryx, Jeholornis, Sapeornis, Hawk.
