  • "Every few years a new guardian is selected" Bro Xola was the guardian for 300 years straight

"That was until a mighty hero used his hook to pull the entire sun close to the planet" What can I say except, "You're welcome"

I just loved the movie, the art style and the adventure, the actual lore provided, just amazing.

Really beautiful and enjoyable movie, amazing story and spectacular art. Sadly it didn't become famous.

I remember seeing this movie a while after it came out. can't believe it never became popular. (although I have to admit I would have preferred if Mune and Glim had just stayed friends.) Edit: the movie is called “Mune: Guardian of the moon” btw.

I remember my dad downloading the movie for us to watch like 5 yrs ago, I can't believe people still know about this movie! I'm really glad, cause I genuinely really liked it.

In my culture (from Aotearoa, also known as New Zealand), the mighty hero who pulled the sun closer was named, Māui, the Demi god. He used his hook to bring it closer, and with his brothers, he slowed it down with said hook and hand made flax rope.

I remember watching this on Netflix!! Such a great movie
  • I watched this movie 3 or 4 years ago I still LOVE it It’s very unique and I love the art style and how things played out Expect for the fact that most of this could have been avoided if The former Guardian took a few minutes to teach mune how to control the harp-like controls Someone in the comments was pointing out some really good facts so let me add on if the characters had stronger mindsets and weren’t so easily persuaded and corrupted this could’ve been avoided What I think is that the guardians of the moon and sun should’ve taught the boys how to control things and even before this I forgot his name but the main character that was the guardian of the sun should’ve had proper training and studying before hand this seems pretty irresponsible to me they should spend nearly half their lives training for these rules since they’re so important not just be handed it and expect you to spend the rest of your life guarding the most sacred things in the world literal night and day And in the first place the main character who is the guardian of the sun seemed pretty conceited and self-absorbed (there might be a few misspellings in this but do you guys understand what I’m trying to say?)

Saw this in either 2015 or 2016 (it came out in 2014), still remember little bits of it but the rest is lost. Seeing the movie again after several years feels quite strange

This is probably the most emotional movie (for me). I have never cried because of a movie until i watched this masterpiece.
  • the first guardian of the sun somehow crafted a giant spear and chain long enough to reach the sun in complete darkness impressive
  • i’m sad that there isn’t much more to the movie or like a sequel, but honestly sometimes less is more
  • @jova4314
This was one of the best movies I have watched and is probably my favorite movie. I forgot about the movie and I hope netflix still kept it, I really wanna see more people watch it!
