So the skeletons both are short but since the wither skeleton is a bit taller it the iron golem attacks it minecraft is coded this way so the iron golem attacks the mob thats in its field of view If you do this test but with a creeper and a normal skeleton it will almost always attack the skeleton since creepers are shorter hope you understood and if u didnt understand what i meant by fov if u summon an iron golem then press f3 + b u will see hitboxes and where the golem is looking and u will also see that the wither skeleton is taller therefore its the first thing the golems AI see's
