I had forgotten to mention about adding in spent coffee grounds and tealeaves as food. You can also add the coffee filters as a part of the carbon. Do be careful about teabags though, since many are not actually compostable, despite their claim. Watered down left over brewed coffee, (is there such a thing as left over brewed coffee?) or that from rinsing through your grounds is a good acidic feed for plants that need it, such as Rhododendrons and Hydrangeas. ❤

Hi Suzanne, great myth busting. I accepted (and repeated) the no onion and citrus rule, too, when I first started. Good idea to feed in the cosy middle. Please take care of yourself and get well soon 🌺 ~ Sandra
  • Thanks for your commentary. I have learnt a lot. I too prefer to cut up scraps into small pieces. There is not a lot of room in the trays for large chunks of food. I felt reaffirmed by your comments. Keep producing your videos.

Hi Suzanne, great video as usual. Some very helpful information. I, like you, do feed a little citrus fruit, garlic and onion. Moderation seems to be the key here. Keep up the good work. Have fun, Mark : )
