The truest thing in this song has to be "The people who find it respect it", because yeah, they do. They even usually fall in love with it ♥️

I did not expect to see a musician like this in our time. So grateful to witness music history.

This song literally saved my life. “There are no winners or losers in psychological warfare, but there are victims…and there are students.” <- Which was I going to be? That question has stuck with me daily, since the first time I heard it. Now, every single day, I make the choice to be a student, instead of the alternative. Thank you, Ren, for being the world changer that you are.

Beautiful. There's something so powerful about hearing the audience holding their breath collectively through so much of it. Extraordinary as always my friend.
  • @Flydye
Interesting how the audience reacted, more like watching a play or act than a ‘concert’. Amazing stuff ren.

20 years of PTSD going through different veteran doctors, clinics, treatments and medications and I found this song. It explains exactly how it feels to have the battle in your mind with your body and the medical system. Thank you Ren.

I have daydreamed about seeing you perform this on stage, marvelling at the thought that anyone even could. You've surpassed my imagination. The vulnerability was tenfold, watching you face the crowd to courageously sing about something so personal and painful. Because you do this, we are healing little by little. Thank you, Ren. 🙏❤

You are changing the world, one note, one bar, and one heart at a time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Peace friend.

"I have stood in the flames that cremated my brain and didn't once flinch or shake. " that line breaks me every time. Tears. 6:25

Ren, I work in mental health and have helped thousands of veterans recover from their trauma. I am 62 years old and served for 30 years in the Army and i have never heard anything as profound as this song as it outlines the parts of us that traditional therapy would never embrace. It is a shining example of mastery and at such a young age goes beyond all expectations. Your song the money game is also a piece of art that exposes the pigs at the trough. I will definately come to see you perform and i might be an old fart but i cant stop listening to your work. Stay as humble as you appear and it will only go from one inspiraing song to the next. This is a monster of a song to perform in front of an audience, both technically and emotionally. There's potential for everything to go wrong, I'm mesmerised by how well you did, can't stop repeating it ❤ Doesn't matter how many times I hear/see this piece of art, it genuinely hits deep every time

It’s incredible you got through this live, not only because it’s a marathon of a song, but because it’s so quiet by the end. You’re a true pro not to have all the shuffling distract you. Not a performance for the faint hearted artist. Incredible, as always buddy ❤️
  • @KitTilder
The silence and the applause of the audience speaks volumes - this man is changing music history and I’m so glad to be apart of his journey he’s just utterly phenomenal ❤
  • @texgarrett7158
The line "The more intensly the light shone, the darker the shadow it casts" really hits with me. It's that extreme high and low. Great performance Ren.
  • @MtMarshi
HOW?! Just... How? How the hell do you perform this live as well as this?! Pure unadulterated genius.

You know, in the original version of this song, the Demonic side of Ren sounds like the more confident speaker—as though he’s more certain he’s right. In this performance, the Hopeful side of Ren sounds a little more confident in what he’s saying and he’s sitting up a little straighter. The Demonic side is the one that sounds less sure of himself here. Love both versions, and here’s to all of our Hopeful sides sounding more confident and sitting up a little straighter. 🎉

I hope this song will be a turning point in your career. This brought so many new people (me included) in your world, and you deserve it. Many will say "he's talented", and for sure I see talent in your creativity and ideas, but all the rest is hard work, years of introspection, experiences and pain. You didn't waste years of your life, you built the man we're appreciating today. You held on to the rope and now you have something talent can't give. Be proud Ren.

This song has helped me come to terms with 30 years of mental health struggle and I truly believe this will save my marriage, thank you so much Ren, I'm crying as I write this, you're words have saved a life and I love you for it, thank you so much
