Ichiro said at the retirement press conference that he wanted Shohei Ohtani to become the best player in the world in the future. Shohei has already fulfilled that expectation and achieved it.

I played pro baseball when I was younger. I washed out in the low minors like most guys do, but I can tell you that the reason most pitchers can't hit their weight is because the skill sets for pitchers and hitters are completely different and take a lot of time and effort to master (hitters also tend to be terrible pitchers). I'm not sure that most fans realize what an incredible accomplishment it is to be a two way player in the major leagues. Ohtani is just an incredible talent.

Shohei Ohtani is an amazing hitter and pitcher, but look at this base running. This guy is a beast!! Did you see his fielding skills? He's truly magical.

What I think would be interesting would be an intro next year giving insight on things like “the players who had the biggest fall off of the list”, would be super interesting to see the players who saw a drastic difference from their slot from the year prior.

Personally, I think it'd be a neat idea if the player was on a different team the previous year, you put that team's font for the previous year's number and ranking. I just think it'd look cool lol. Great list as always, Marc!

Solid picks. My baseball card collection confirms it all. While most of the card prices are down, I have realized that with good picks like a lot in your video, you can still be ahead of the pricing game in this down market. Thanks for your video series. I really do agree with most of this list! Well done, Marc! I’ll be curious if Judge is able to pass Trout this year but if Trout is healthy I do think he’s a bit better still. Ohtani is just nuts lol
