Wow this guy has grown old too soon, I remember him from TigerDirect days.

What keyboard or controller do to you use to navigate your TV PC setup? Really helpful video!
  • @carlos_mann
I have been thinking doing something similar. This definitely has helped me make a decision about buying one and getting all of the apps you mention. Thanks for the great idea

Exactly what I was looking for!

Hey man. Thanks to you , I've dropped Plex and been using jellyfin since. Absolutely love it. Using it on fire TV stick and it's pretty good However, I do have a gaming pc hooked up to the same TV , the windows jellyfin client is great , but was wondering if you use wireless kB/mouse to control it ? Or like a dedicated remote. The only thing holding me back from using windows as media client

Loving the content lately! I own an LG C2. The webOS is Linux-based with GNU laws incorporated within the terms and agreements (I know know smart-tv), but its not too bloated. I plan to build a second PC for my living room later this year, was considering buying a steam deck too, but the Geekom is pretty slick!

I keep coming across your channel when looking for tech stuff. I guess I should probably subscribe at this point. Boom! Done.

I'm using an HP EliteDesk SFF running Linux Mint. I don't game with it but I use it for video playback and occasional live sports streaming.

my sleeper/htpc has my old i7-4790/GTX 1060 combo and it does a good job for anything I'd want to do from the couch

I know it’s 6 months later but I had this video playing as I have a HTPC and I was simply looking for SW ideas when @5:05 happened. Man when you said “You haven’t turned on this computer for 10 minutes.” I fell out laughing. It’s so true. I had my computer start a sw update WHILE I was playing the game. Just restarted. So I felt that. Thank you for the info and the laugh.

I'm using my Steam Deck + Dock. Honestly, it's really buggy sometimes, getting stuff to work. Especially Emulators and switchign resolution on the fly if you dock and undock it. But being able to configure a controller with custom hotkeys is AMAZING. I just have a simple browser and have bound ctrl+tab and ctrl+shift+tab to the shoulder buttons, so i can just switch between tabs of shows I'm currently watching. I think for the price it's a really good solution if you can handle a bit of troubleshooting.

For a long time, I used my Mac Mini (2014) with Kodi as media center in my living room, but not so long ago I switched to Homatics Box R 4K Plus with... yes Kodi again, as main media center app )) In some ways, Mac with Kodi was a better solution, for example, to play anime encoded in h.264 10-bit, which hardware players can't play, but its CPU was too slow for 4K...

Nice video Tek, also- Do you happen to know of a way to bring back the windows 10 swipe menu options? like swipe right for notification center, swipe left for the windows overview (windows + tab on keyboard)
  • @unitybeing777
Glad for your video, watched it all and wasn't bored. Learned a lot. Thank you Logan and stay Safe and alive.

My living room PC has a Ryzen 3600, 32gb of ram, and an 5700xt. I'm using the Sama micro ATX case. I love it and will put my 3080 in it when I upgrade the main rig.
