On the man in ice, I have a new twist to it. I propose - locate the build in the nether, swap out the snow for white concrete and the ice for stained glass in any shade of blue, and make all the clothes brown or undyed. You now have one of the people who betrayed their masters, mentioned in Dante's Inferno!
