“if women were allowed to get mad and men were allowed to be sad we would all be a lot happier overall” - unknown

When she said “my parents didn’t love me any less because I was a daughter” that hit home because my dad hates me for being a female

When my brother was 12, he was harshly bullied by his friends for crying. He was called 'sissy' and humiliated in front of everyone. This had happened to him several times. He came home that day and decided to take his life. When we came home, he was lying in a pool of blood and we rushed him to the hospital and saved his life. That day I decided that gender inequality is real and feminism is not just about women. Gender inequality is a reality for both sexes and I firmly advocate feminism.

Emma Watson is telling women that they don't need to be pretty fragile princesses but strong capable women and men don't need to be strong capable men but in fact they're allowed to be delicate and in touch to their feelings and emotions. It goes both ways guy.

This reminds me when Hermione tried to fight for House Elf equality

Why are you all afraid of feminism? We're trying to have equal rights as men. We're not saying women is superior than men. No one is superior or inferior because of our differences.

Did any of you even watch the entire video before calling her a man-hater?

She sounds like she's gonna break down anytime. Bless her soul💗

The world needs more people like Emma Watson.
  • I love Emma´s speech so much because she goes on to explain what feminism is so well. The fact that men and woman should deserve equal rights its the base of feminism instead of the popular belief that by being a feminist you are proclaiming ultimate hate to the opposite sex. Emma explains how she has been sexualized by the media since she was very young and how she was called bossy as a child for expressing her thoughts out loud. She speaks for all women while saying that she thinks it is right that we should be able to make decisions for our own bodies. I have respect for Emma and every single woman out in the streets fighting for a world where we don't have to be afraid to go out on the streets wearing short shorts or crop tops because men will think "we are looking for it". Emma is such an inspiration to youth women and we should all look up to strong women like her.

I've never had such a respect for a peron as I have for Emma right now. Thank you so so much, for inspiring me and being such an example for me and other young girls, that need something just like this. Inspiration, example and it's important for us to know what is REAL feminism about.
