Furbys absolutely terrified me as a kid. Parents got me one for Christmas when I was in 1st grade. It had a motion sensor that made the Furby talk and move around whenever it sensed vibrations. Was horrifying at night when it was bedtime and it would sit on my dresser at the foot of my bed with glowing eyes and would activate and start talking to me when I shifted in my bed.
