Hey y'all! Just letting you know that I created another almost 20 minute long video explaining how the complex borders/geography between Armenia and Azerbaijan led to war between them last year, but that video could never, ever be monetized on YouTube and because of that, YouTube would never even send most of you any notifications or alerts if I uploaded it. So instead, I uploaded it to Nebula and the link is here: nebula.app/videos/real-life-lore-modern-conflicts-… The best way to get access to Nebula is through the CuriosityStream bundle deal linked above, and it's less than $15 a year. I'll be posting new videos in this Modern Warfare series every month on Nebula, so if that sounds like something you'd be interested in go ahead and check it out!! Thanks :)

Imagine you're playing cricket or football with your friends in Bangladesh and your ball ends up in India Edit: People don't get the joke. You are in one of of those exclaves. To get the ball you need to go to india,to go to india you need visa, to get a visa you need to go the the embassy and to get to the embassy you need to drive through india.

So my grandmother was born in British India 1935, grew up in East Pakistan (1947 to 1971) and now lives in Bangladesh (1971 to present day)..... To make it clear. She never actually left her village. She was always in the same place, just the country changed hands so much. So hearing about that crazy border situation does'nt surprise me at all.

India and Bangladesh: “Can you distribute our borders evenly” The Guy that never been to India: “Yes”

I finally can understand what our grandparents talked about when they said that they used to cross borders to go to school

The enclave citizens being legally unable to leave has the same energy as that "need experience for job, but need job for experience" meme.

RLL: The craziest border in the world Me: Why? RLL: Well the British….

As a Bengalee person living pretty close to the border in the Indian state of West Bengal, I can certify this mess is real. There are rivers or canals (sometimes even ponds) with two nations on two sides, villages halved, and previously there were some households with the border going literally through them. Thousands of people cross the border daily both legally and illegally to go to school, hospital, place of work, or to visit their relatives. Thanks to British, it makes no damn sense. People on either side of the border, living close to it, look nearly the same, speak nearly the same language (or atleast understand each other's dialects), have similar cultures, and of course, shared history.

My dad once said, "If there is something weird or odd in anything international it is 90% British fault, and 9% Belgium's, and rest is other European countries"

"Where Do you Live??" "India🇮🇳🇮🇳" "OH COOL!!!, Which Part??" "The One which is in Bangladesh which is in India which is in Bangladesh"
  • @winter32842
Good job to both Bangladeshi and Indian government to resolve the issue peacefully.
  • Me, a Bangladeshi: this is the least bizzare thing you’ll find in Subcontinent.
  • I can only imagine the stories that the parents of the children living in the enclaves cooked up for them in order to showcase how hard it was for them to go to school. "Son, did you know? I had to cross multiple international borders without a visa to just attend School."
  • @panorama85
I am from Bangladesh and every information given here is correct. 🇧🇩🇧🇩🇮🇳🇮🇳
  • @garg064
I have heard the word "Bangladesh" more in this video than in my 26-year life
  • “Britain decided to give India independence” no we had to fight for it. It wasn’t just given to all 3 countries.
