One of my favorite things watching this live was that ALL the riders — even those who came dead last — crossed the finish line with huge grins on their faces and ran to hug one another. Surviving that course alone takes superhuman ability. Congratulations to all these amazing sportswomen!

I teared up seeing the second place American and third place Swede immediately hug and congratulate each other. What the Olympics is all about. Camaraderie and love for the best parts of the human spirit.

As a old man who was once young and flew down Mt. Tam on old inch-pinch beater's in the late 60's and early 70's, I congratulate Haley!!

SILVER medal! Great job! Love all the cycling. After just watching the Giro and then the TDF, this is a plus. And yes, I know this type of race is different, but all cycling is fun to watch.
