Kinda nuts this sounds light years better than anything on the radio today

Practically 31 years ago I ended up living on the street, through my own fault. I used drugs of all kinds excessively. I lived by my wits, by theft, by begging. I was dirty, smelly, lost. On the coldest nights, I took advantage of the warm smoke coming out of the subway ducts. I leave out further details of which I am ashamed. I've done horrible things. I had a cassette recorder and listened to Seal non-stop. What is the meaning of this comment? The meaning is that that life lasted 5 years, then I got out of it, but I never had the strength to listen to SEAL. My life has changed, I am now 58 years old and today I was able to listen to this song. It wasn't easy to manage the emotion and memories of hunger and cold. That's all.

2020 lockdown, it's the loneliness that's the killer.
-
I honestly believe seals only problem is that his early songs are so fantastic that it's impossible to do any better...a true talent...second only to Prince...
-
It's the loneliness that's the killer.
-
This is another song off his first album that is a masterpiece. Trevor Horn is something else.
-
This version is so much more rock than the original Seal did as a bass player for Adamski-- a techno, dance music producer.
-
This is one of the 4 most wonderful songs Seal has recorded in his entire music career!... Seal is really an amazing singer; a great vocalist!... The sound that the 2 synthesizers make from 2'26" to 3'32" (and from 4'06" to the closing) is MUCH TOO BEAUTIFUL!... It's a pity that the sound of these synthesizers doesn't go on for 7 or 8 minutes.

The movie Gladiator brought me here. Such a great movie and song

Loneliness is the killer. The Amazing Seal!!!
-
Seal singing out of his personal pain in his own country in the UK when he was coming up
-
Really, this is a magnificent singer!... Seal is one of the greatest pop vocalists that the history of music has had the honor of being able to record... and whose music we are honored to have the chance to hear.

Finally... found the proper version!

im ultra grateful to my mother to have shown me this type of quality music in a young age!! seal i love you
-
the early 90s was a freakin fine era
-
Absolute beauty! This song as still as strong as it's ever been! I prefer this version over Adamski's, but they're both very cool! This version has Trevor Horn's stamp on it.
-
I cannot NOT dance to this song when it comes on and gets into it. In my living room since I'm in my 50's now, but I have since I was early 20's! Love so much.

Most people first listened to Seal when he released his debut album in 1991. But a year earlier, he was the featured vocalist on “Killer” (1990), a #1 UK smash hit for British producer Adam Paul Tinley, a.k.a. Adamski*. Adamski recorded the air as an instrumental, soon to look for a singing voice to front it. He hired Sealhenry Samuel, soon to be known as Seal. The English producer stated : “I met [Seal] in a club where he approached me to tell me he was a singer. Just hearing the things he was talking about, I thought he was brilliant […]. He wrote the lyrics to the song and then recorded it IN ONE TAKE.” The only mention of the word “KILLER” comes early, when the songwriter says, “It’s the loneliness that’s the killer.” Seal covered “Killer” for his 1991 studio album, titled “Seal”, which earned him international acclaim when the first track, “Crazy”, took off. His own performance of “Killer” fared rather poorly when it was launched as a single, yet it stuck as one of his most popular numbers, one he plays at most of his live concerts. AN ABSOLUTE MUST-LISTEN‼️ 💚🎶💜 * Also called Sonny Eriksson or Adam Sky.
