Fun fact: This 10 minute short film was created for more than 2 full years. The dedication of the artists is so unimaginable.

There is something so deeply lovable about the two characters. The comfort with which they do labor. They are victorious in the beginning itself...the end is just the manifestation of the victory that they already had within them...its spiritual.

Saw this years ago and today I rewatched it... It's so cinematic and beautiful

He made the false signal b'coz he did not want other people to give up hope.

It made me tears. As being a big supporter my father didnt revealed my family that he got a heart attack kept on visiting doctors without telling us paid our college fees and didt spent on his health. After his death within one week i got doctor bills under his bed sheet, later on i visited that clinic the doctor said your father got a severe heart attack while sleeping but suvived and his lungs got watery so also got asthema but he said he had 2 options either to pay his son college expenses or to do treatment to survive but being 67 year old he choosed his son's future and thats me. I can never forget this sacrifice and would say that those who think that parents brought us up so that we would take care of them in their old age thats not true parents love and do sacrifices for us unconditionally. i miss my dad 😟😟😟😟😟😟

Wow this was more powerful than many full-length movies nowadays.

This deserves more than just a award..

Two perspectives to that ending - one in tragedy - the other is celebration......quite beautiful - touching indeed 🔥❤️

The two main characters’ facial expressions and gestures communicated their irrepressible spirits so strongly. A masterpiece of animation. ❤

I love it. Every subtle detail. It contains characters,a goal, a plan, obstacles, a climax, great music, set ups and payoffs, and even someone's character arc (the farmer) . This is amazing. This goes to show that storytelling elements can be applied even to the shortest, and they have to.

The flare gave the farmers hope that both had made it, even though they wouldn’t have known, and will never know, the truth

He survived the fall, fell in a river, got saved by a native, and lived on!

the climax was like "emotional damage" the best animated short film i have ever seen respect to the creators!!!!

It's incredible and simply superb. The way the girl ran to help them in the rain is very heart-touching. when all villagers join I felt thrilled to see their helping hands. The climax is very emotional and heart touching.

Movies like these have more of an emotional impact on me then most 100+ million dollar big budget movies... Thank You.

No doubt It is Oscar winning movie.

Magnifiquement humain. That is how, why and thanks to we still live on this beautiful planet.

Truly a masterpiece, culmination of emotions of love, hope, friendship, kindness and at last sadness, everything in a short film of 10 minutes, hat's off to creator of this film.
