A list of 10 Minecraft Changes I would like to see in the future, this list focuses on changes to the current state of the game as opposed to the obvious End Update & dimensions.
This list of Minecraft changes is just my personally preference, you are more than welcome to disagree with these changes!

Minecraft would be so much better if they added some of your ideas. I hope they are listening to the community so we get one of the best Minecraft updates in 1.22
  • Redwood forest needs to be in minecraft, it is such a unique atmostphere where trees make you feel like a dwarf. At some point of time, anyone with the knowledge of redwood trees has thought about this. thanks for pointing it out.
  • @nanashialfarr
I would love a "farm and forage" update, giving us new crops and things to harvest and more integration from farming with redstone, a bit similar to what the create mod did.
  • @NovaStella_
I would love for them to implement more atmospheric changes! Especially in the "Windswept Hills" it would be amazing to actually hear the whistling of wind gales, or to see small grey and white wisps of wind scatter across the area. That, and I would love more color variety in leaf blocks! There are so many green shades, but only recently did we get Pink. I'd love to go to a forest that's absolutely kitted out in red and orange and golden and brown fall colors!!

For the 4-pixel hit box, I think it could cause issues if you want to hit through the block - such as when fighting a mob or something. I think the best solution would honestly be something similar to the create mod, where the same type of block can be placed adjacent to another when clicking on the side or along it. That way a long chain can be made just by clicking on the same chain multiple times!

I feel like caves could use actual ambient sounds instead of just the cave noises. Like rocks falling, the cave settling, and just a general low humming drone in the background. While not exactly scary it would make caves very unsettling and uncomfortable. I think thats something they could use. Also i think a subtle wind sound if the cave you're in has an exit on 2 sides would be sick. Mostly to let you know you aren't walking into a dead end. I have to imagine it would be wierd to code and might not be possible, but it would be sick.

The problem with increasing hit boxes for blocks like chains is they can’t be used for farms anymore since the player can’t interact on the other side of the chain. Maybe implement a feature where pressing ctrl allows you to click anywhere to place these types of blocks?
  • @gastonmeya5893
the cheats thing he mentioned should not be changed. Like I agree with having self control if you don't like that. I don't feel like removing a feature I personally like would benefit the entire community, just a small number of players. If anything, there could just be an option when you create a new world to remove that feature alltogether instead of it affecting every world type
  • There's a very good reason you can choose whether to turn cheats on or off when starting a lan world: if you normally play with cheats on, it allows you to turn them off when someone comes to visit. In the same way, using cheats to give a friend a quick head-start if they're visiting an established world isn't all that ridiculous. Not everyone plays the game the same way, I personally often tend to keep them on and then not use them unless the situation really calls for it
  • @Aegisfromashes
I agree with most things, but I strongly disagree with removing cheats at 6:00. I enjoy that they give players absolute freedom to play the game as they desire. This feels more like a personal self control issue. As a workaround, I'm sure there are simple mods out there that can disable the option. I think adding an official shader pack would be cool, but disagree that it looks out dated. Vanilla is still extremely popular, and allows flexibility on playing through every platform. People enjoy and are very used to the general aesthetic. Forcing any of those changes on the millions of players that love the base game would probably be in poor taste.
  • @MrShourin
The allow cheats should not be removed. Sure people use it to cheat in hardcore but it comes in handy in the case if your world hardcore or not uses data packs and some datapacks i have used in the past need cheats on for initial setup. Also If you need to change settings incase of an update to a datapack and you again need to make changes. Removing the allow cheats button will lock people completely out of these settings since they are basically command line based. Case in point I had a datapack in a survival world completely break because Minecraft updated from 1.19.1 to 1.19.2 And enabling the cheats was the only way to fix the issue after the datapack it's self was updated to 1.19.2.
  • @RPAudioeVisual
The craziest thing about this video is that it was THIS easy to make it just because mods exist... Therefore I thank you modders. You are the true heros of this game. This is why I have stopped playing vanilla Minecraft for YEARS now... and I never missed it.
  • @sandwichqueen
Backpacks can be made from shulkers and a new material from the end. That way it doesn't replace shulkers, and enhances the end just a little bit
  • @Kai1907
Addition to #4, the Particles. Please make an Option for the render distance of these. When walking through a cherry biome, you can only see the leaves falling for those lousy 15 blocks, it would be so much nicer and immersive if particles were visible from a greater distance
  • @c0wg0d
Great ideas! They also need to add in all the features they promised in all the previous biome votes (termites, ostriches, baobab trees, etc.).
  • @louisBrother1988
About the better inventory management: I feel like the issue is even bigger for item storages. If they just implement something similar to what Stardew Valley has, then that would be a huge time saver for so many people.
  • @Loxen86
The easel would be one of the most expressive and encouraging additions we could see. Giving dyes even more use, and even feathers!
  • @Doktorwh0
I talked with one of my friends about it before, but the issue I have with ambient sounds is they need an explanation. A jungle biome with very lively ambient sounds, but not a living thing in sight would take away from the experience more bc of the dissonance between what you're hearing and what you're seeing.
