I Moved Into The Wrong NYC Apartment…

When I first saw my new nyc apartment, i fell in love with it… but 2 weeks later I’ve got renter’s remorse. Thats ok, I keep telling myself, in spite of how i feel now, that I made the best rental decision I could at the time it was made. I’ve gotta pay extra for things like the elevator, laundry and parking. Oh well, I can always move if things dont work out. Enjoy the tour!

My solution to feelings of regret after living in the apartment for a few weeks is to start telling myself over and over "I did the best that I could under the present circumstances. I made this choice because the other alternatives seemed worse."

It blows my mind how people in NYC cram themselves into life

I love how your apartment shows how people really live, not that magazine fake neat and tidy. I stopped putting all my stuff away and now my kitchen counters have everything I need right where I can see it.

Congratulations on the baby we aren't supposed to know about. You are one of the most innovative people I've come across. You make it work. Adorable family, office, and new apartment.

I don't live in NYC or need an apartment, but I still watch your videos because you are an awesome guy who always make me smile! Keep making your cool videos!

Congratulations to you both!! Just an idea from a mom……when my daughter was Violets age she had a ton of toys also. I divided them into 4 different boxes. Only one box was in use at a time and then I’d switch out the boxes when I thought a change was needed. Believe it or not, at that age, it’s very exciting to them to get “new” toys from a different box. It’ll help a lot to alleviate the clutter.

I love this guy. Every one of his NYC based videos further reinforces why I would NEVER consider living there.

Cash, you need to go back to that one woman, who did the totally awesome job of making her tiny studio look great!!! I even think she was an interior designer. And you were completely bowled over with what she accomplished. Pay her to do some miracles with your place. It will be worth it!

Hey Cash! Here’s a great idea….have Alexandra Gater, she’s a you tuber and does amazing things with a small space work on your apartment….film a collaborative video on making your new apartment fabulous! You’ll need all the organization and space you can get with a new little one on the way. Congrats! to you and your family.
  • Congratulations to you and Kanami (and Violet!) on your upcoming arrival! That's great news, Cash! Also, thanks for the tour of your new apartment and office. And, I'm glad to see you're wearing a bike helmet! You've gotta take care of yourself, for your family, and for all of you veiwers!
  • It's incredible to me how people have normalized $4,000 a month apartments. Landlords are laughing their way to the bank. There is no outrage amongst tenants and as long as there's no outrage our government will laugh their way to the bank too.

I used to live in an apartment in Queens with a balcony on the railroad tracks. I used it on and off for 8 years, but during Covid, it was life changing having the balcony there with trees, and a nice breeze once in a while.

Cash just go to any hardware store and buy new caps for the table legs. The way you have left it, they will rust and permanently stain your deck and you will be on the hook for that. The sharp metal edge can also cut through your deck coating/covering. Congrats on the upcoming baby!

Good to see Cash wearing a helmet. Gotta love the irony of a guy who earns a living from the rental market downsizing his office and saving a ton on rent.
  • First of all CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! Secondly, seeing you sweep up the toys made me roll, my dad used to "clean" our rooms with a broom when we didn't get it done ourselves, LMAO! That bike ride in the city looks like a harrowing, near death experience. I would have a heart attack! Be safe.
  • NYC taught me is that we are suckers for the city life. We paid more than other cities for tiny “luxury” boxes that we will never ever own. Hell even if you buy the apartment/condo you are paying taxes and maintenance fees for life .
  • @AckGirl
I admire your hustle, humor and never ending positivity! You deserve all the best! Congratulations 🎊

I honestly can’t remember if you already announced your excellent news about the baby 🥰, but if not then a whole hearted congratulations to you & your wife. Violet is such a gorgeous little girl. Hope she’s enjoying the new apartment? It may not be as big, but it’s more modern & has storage facilities that mean the apartment isn’t as cluttered. Must make you all feel less cramped? The tiny room for your new office seems like a great idea. Saves you money (making up for double the rent on your new apartment) & everyone is working remotely now. If you need to meet clients find a nice coffee shop or diner. Anyways I wish your family all the best for the future. Love your videos. ❤️🥰🖖

Sometimes I think he’s gonna say he’s joking but he never does. Living in NYC looks really sad.
  • I think it is a very cute apartment. Just having more windows, two bedrooms, updated and an elevator would make happy. The $4,000 rent, not so much.
