I can't get over how all the dialogue for charging the spell is like them laughing at their own joke or getting excited before they they make it, i can't get over the way Lae'zel says "this'll be mean!! >:)" before throwing out the lamest insults you've ever heard and then you've got the outlier Shadowheart who delivers the burns like her wound is gonna flare up if she doesn't hurt the enemies feelings as much as half-humanly possible

I really, really, really love the way they incorporated vicious mockery. Using it during an actual DnD campaign does sort of sound similar, like there is an expectation that you will say something funny. But the echos, the purple glow in their eyes, the laugh track in the background. Anyone who has played tabletop DnD probably appreciates this so, so, sooo much. As a lover of the bard class, I am enamoured.
