The paintings of Stefan Baumann reveal the true spirit of nature by transporting the viewer to distant lands that have gone unseen and undisturbed. With the huge success of Baumann’s weekly PBS television series “The Grand View: America’s National Parks through the Eyes of an Artist,” millions of people witness for themselves the magic Stefan portrays on canvas, his passion for nature and the American landscape. By distilling his love of nature into a luminous painting of brilliant, saturated color that transcends conventional landscape and wildlife art, Baumann has captured the hearts and imaginations of a generation. Each painting becomes an experience rather than merely a picture – a vivid manifestation of his special and personal union with nature and the outdoor world. Through his mastery of light, color, and artful composition, Baumann invites you to experience nature in its purity. It is no wonder that for many years distinguished American collectors, including former presidents and financial icons, have sought out his work.

This, here, is brilliant marketing. This is the fourth video of yours that I've watched. From minute one, there are glimmers of humor and tricks of the trade. I particularly appreciate the lighting tests in the last 8-minutes. I am sorry that I never caught the PBS series, but you're a wonderful teacher. Thanks for sharing on YouTube.

I feel like naturally you will find your niche markets when you don't try to make the market strictly happy but paint how and what you want

Love how you said, "Paint like your life depends on it." Wow! That's great advice.

So spot on! I always love the insight into the business side of art. I think too often we worry about being "original" and appealing to other artists. My best selling subject matter? Cat and dog portraits.
  • I`m at the beginning of painting, and I love doing it. What I`ve taken from this lecture is to find my niche. I`m most comfortable with people and now I feel I need to focus, instead of my mind being all over when I`m just learning. Selling any of mine would be a miracle right now, but It's good to know my path. Thank you.
  • I have only just found you and I'm so glad I did!! You are such a fantastic combination of talent, experience, knowledge, excellent instruction, patience, encouragement, and humour, all blended and wonderfully presented to us with respect and in the form of a handsome man with a kind voice and a ready smile. I LOVE watching your videos and hearing your stories and most of all LEARNING from you! Thank you from the heart of my heart.... from whence my creativity flows🖌🎨

  • you really hit home for me. A relative novice, I can feel very much like quitting my "hobby" because I am millions of miles behind the artists I admire. I am a determined soul, and it's a phase. Fortunately, you can enter the county fair at any age, and no great expectations, one way or another. Thanks for this video, and Facebook connections are terrific!
