My homeboy Mike had a '67 street machine, complete with big-block, 4-speed on the floor and a ton of performance parts. I rode shotgun in that car alot and every single time it made me smile. There's nothing like a big-block.
  • @Co-SS
old timer here. I know the older 2nd gens very very well. This was done with a eye to detail, thank you for putting it together.

Working on my 67 Camaro Convertible. 400Hp 327, 700r4. Dropped some weight. After 57 years still competitive. I can gold plate it for what a new one costs. And it is repairable on the driveway.

Just found your channel through this video. You’ve gotta do more of these! I think you struck gold here.

I remember in 89 when the N10 dual cat exhaust became available on the tuned port cars. It was the first 80's car that made all the pops and burbles when you left off the throttle. I also remember this exhaust option on the news because some west coast states complained it surpassed their sound laws. Still at the time you definitely knew when in 89 when a new f-body or Vette had this option.
  • I've had 3 F-bodies - 2 Pontiacs and a Chevy. Still have my 5th gen. Would love to see a similar video for the Pontiac F-Bodies. They day GM discontinued Pontiac was a sad one for me.

Thanks for the video , Love the second Gen Camaro, My first car back in 88 was a rusted out 74 LT that had a neglected hard existance from new. Fixed it up and drove it for a few years then sold it. All these years later I managed to find another 74 and was finally in the position to have the money and a shop to build it properly, have had it for three years now and it feels like my very own time machine, makes me feel like a teenager again and will hang onto this one.

4:32 so there are more on the road today than were originally built, that’s awesome

For someone who's not from the US, this was surprisingly interesting and informative to watch! I love the '68 and the 3rd gen Camaros. Are you planning to do a Corvette video with the same format?
  • @etravix
As a former 68 SS and 69 Z8 owner 40 years ago, I enjoyed your comparison format. Thanks for sharing.
  • @anthonygray333
Loved my white 79 Z28 with blue stripes. Had it almost new from 79-84 while in college and my first job. In my heart my favorite car ever.
  • @forever1313
I'm sure the Mustang gens are on the list but can't wait for that one. Good video here too!
  • @jaredbrass1505
Wow this is the most comprehensive detailed video I have seen on the Camaro ever. Love all the details you put in here and the comparison of all the generations. Fantastic job!
  • @74Vette
Great video. Could easily make posters out of those graphics. Gotta do Firebird and Corvette next
  • @kimnach
My second car was a brand new '79 Berlinetta and drove that until it got totaled on tax day '88. Loved that car (late 2nd gen is my favorite) and decided to get another Camaro (or Firebird). I found a '78 Z28 w 4spd/t-tops/350. That turned out to be a "beast" and within months of purchasing that I purchased a brand new '88 IROC with 5spd/t-tops/305. The '78 was a winter car for a couple of years. I still drive the IROC (nice weather car only here in the rust belt). Look forward to bringing it out of storage every year!

Also the car that was the placeholder for Chevy from 02-08 was the Monte Carlo
  • Thank you , I collect 1:18 scale models. I recently decided to venture into the Camaro world. This a fantastic guide. I live in South Africa and these cars were never officially sold here (LHD). So this helps me a lot🙏🏼🙏
  • Proud owner of my 86! Was my first car I’ve owned it for 6 years now
