Lyrics -

Come along catch a Heffalump,
Sit with me on a muddy clump,
We’ll sing a song of days gone by.

Run along now don’t be glum,
Get you gone now have some fun,
Don’t be long for the end is nigh.

Don’t let moments pass along and waste before your eyes,
March with me and the borogoves,
Come with me and the slithy toves,
And never ask us why.

Come come come come come along now,
Run away from the hum-drum,
We’ll go to a place that is safe from
greed, anger and boredom.

We’ll dance and sing till sundown,
and feast with abandon,
We’ll sleep when the morning comes,
and we’ll rise by the sound of the birdsongs.

We’ll be here when the world slows down,
and the sunbeams fade away,
Keeping time by a pendulum as the fabric starts to fray.

There’s no such thing as time to kill,
nor time to throw away,
So once for the bright sky,
Twice for the pig sty,
Thrice for another day.

Come come come come come along now,
Run away from the hum-drum,
We’ll go to a place that is safe from,
Greed anger and boredom.

We’ll dance and sing till sundown,
And feast with abandon,
We’ll sleep when the morning comes,
And we’ll rise by the sound of the birdsongs.

Come with me catch a rare type specimen,
Cuddle up with a hesitant skeleton,
We’ll break our fast with friends.

Once we’re fed we shall disappear rapidly,
Many moons to the west of here and happily,
Our journey never ends.

Shut your ears when sirens sing,
Tie armbands to your feet,
Listen up and you won’t go wrong again,
Float along on a verse-less song and then,
Get to where the two ends meet.

Come come come come come along now,
Run away from the hum-drum,
We’ll go to a place that is safe from,
greed anger and boredom.

We’ll dance and sing till sundown,
and feast with abandon,
We’ll sleep when the morning comes,
and we’ll rise by the sound of the birdsongs.

Just realized that the song's intensity relates with the fish's size

always get consent from skeletons before cuddling if they seem hesitant
  • The nurses played this song as they wheeled me into neurosurgery. They had asked me my favorite musician and I said Cosmo sheldrake.

Cosmo Sheldrake is a blessing to all Goblincore lads

to me, this song feels like the optimistic nihilist mood of "the world's ending, time is finite, and everything's awful, so let's have some fun!"

All the comments are making me want to run away into the woods and find a land of mysterious creatures that are free from everything
  • @SomeOne-eo7rw
This song feels like a Halloween sea shanty. Why has no one pointed this out yet?
  • I feel like this would give some Alice in the wonderland type of vibes like you're in the woods and you find your place in this magical land
  • @what-fo9jg
Is it just me or does this song almost have like a sinister undertone?
  • Do people actually interpret this song as “being happy with a sinister undertone”?! It’s clearly sinister with a happy undertone.

The Forest That Cannot Be Named Without Severe Consequences has brought me here.

To me, this song feels like some sort of character trying to motivate and soothe the lost during nuclear war. Especially with "we'll rise when the birds sing" and "shut your ears when sirens sing". And them trying to get them to safety, "Get to where the two ends meet" could be the difference in war zone and a safe zone. Just my interpration.
  • for a while, i was completely obsessed with his song “the moss.” looks like ive come full circle

this song makes me think of orphaned children running through the woods, running away from monsters and supernatural creatures. kinda the promised neverland.
