  • The problem is a church audience that wants pastors as entertainers, someone to tickle their emotions and egos, rather than to shepherd them directly and hold them accountable. It's church as consumption rather than community. Do not forsake the gathering of yourselves together. (Not on a tv screen.)
  • @Rob559.
God forgives and restores all to those who have truly repented. Keep them in prayer because he/she is our brother/sister in Christ.
  • @VeritaNurse
Never trust a guy wearing gold chains. I've said that almost my whole life. Superficial car salesman mentality every time.
  • Could be wrong here, but for me true repentance in this case would mean abandoning the idea of being a public figure once and for all and just live for God as a regular citizen. No more podcast, no more public ministry. Just take care of your family and forget about the spot light. No one is that necessary for the body of Christ.
  • @DLBMOS
When people apologise by saying "I'm sorry for "WHAT HAPPENED" instead of "I'm sorry for "WHAT I DID"; there's sin and deflection...
  • @UKMARCO7
The Lord Jesus will exposed all false churches and leaders to get them to repentance. No time to mess about.
  • @boghead1
This all still feels like Hollywood, high production, deception to me and I wish it didn’t.
  • @YouAreCreated
Notice how he says "I made mistakes." I don't like it when Christians call sin "mistakes". Mistakes are what happens on math and grammar problems. No, you sir willfully "sinned".
  • If the pastor doesn’t live like Jesus, count me out. I have come that you have life and life abundant, means eternal life. Not riches and selfish ambition. Seek first his kingdom and he will give you all the desires of your heart. IF you truly do, Jesus IS all you desire.
  • Certain people crave the spotlight. They can’t just live a quiet and ordinarily life. This guy disqualified himself from ever holding a spiritual office or position where he teaches or speaks with authority to the church of God. The podcast is about him. Godliness with contentment is great gain and you have neither.
  • @leesam1951
Humble isnt a word one could use to describe him
  • @barrykinzer6382
I’m glad he’s doing well, but WHY is he still trying to dress sexy?!? Stop! Flimsy low cut undershirt and a tight leather jacket. STOP. That is always a red flag for me with pastors.
  • @franroxburgh6055
You could start by abolishing the unbiblical term and office of "lead pastor." Churches should be led by a group of elders. Christ is the Head of the Church. Pastor, teacher and evangelist are separate gifts.
  • @Kharrison1966
I don't think the solution for Carl was "finding a platform" that' wasn't beyond his capacity. Carl was a youth pastor, and he did all the same things. He had the "capacity" to be a youth pastor. For Carl, the issue was character. The systemic issue you address is that churches prioritize a person's gift above their character, and we can't know their character because they don't have a genuine track record that shows you who they are. Churches have gotten exactly what they asked for, much like Israel who wanted a king to be like all the other nations (1 Samuel 8:5).
  • NOT MISTAKES. Not confused about who you are. NOT 'What happened to my marriage' but what I DID!! SAVED, disciple of Jesus or in rebellion against God and deceiving ppl!
  • @justindtackett
Appreciate Carl publicly taking responsibility for his actions and decisions. I hope and pray that other men can change direction in their own life, drag their sin into the light with care for their family and find what Jesus offers to them before they make the same mistakes Carl did. Praying for his wife and kids.
