Playing the horn solo tomorrow for a performance. Wish me luck!
-
At 0:20 the conductor starts the performance with a magic trick.
-
For those wondering, the french horn solo starts at 16:10 .
-
The second movement makes me stop in my tracks just hearing those harmonies and then the French horn stepping in 😩😩 hand down some of the most gorgeous music ever written 💕

Don’t really know anything about music, other than my love for it. I can’t even begin to fathom how a person can create something so beautiful just with marks on a page. I imagine it must require such a knowledge and deep understanding of the inner mechanisms of music. Not to mention the depths of emotion he must’ve accessed to create something so stirring. And that is just creating it. The actual performing is a whole other thing, that is no less impressive. Ahh I’m so grateful for classical music and Tchaikovsky. It’s so beautiful.

Jesus... that opening of the 2nd movement... i always get so emotional.
-
The second movement’s opening never ceases to touch me to the very soul. Tchaikovsky’s ability to detail the anguishes of life, yet somehow tell a story with a little hope and light is unrivaled. The man was a genius.

This orchestra is one of the absolute best I've ever heard!
-
I love the passion of this concert! So many conductors almost seem apologetic about playing Tchaikovsky, as if he needs to be toned down or something. I say if you’re going to do Tchaikovsky, do it with gusto! That second movement is sublime. The horn solo is played with such sensitivity and he really lets it just ooze out and the aching notes speak for themselves.

keep coming back here because this symphony is fucking INSANE. tchaikovsky was indeed a genius, holy cow his music is just beyond words beautiful and indescribable, im on cloud nine listening to this
-
That clarinet double at the beginning! Perfection!
-
How could they not leap out of their seat with this magnificent performance?!
-
Oh how I love Tchaikovsky. 😍
-
The best recording of this masterpiece. That first movement is filled with so much longing. Unbelievably beautiful.
-
Don't know much about classical music but I absolutely love listening to this Tchaikovsky piece. My favourite horn solo ever. Sounds so hauntingly beautiful~
-
The Waltz is phenomenal. The body movement really rounds out the rich tone with some playfulness. Made my day.
-
The beginning of the second movement at 15:15 is some of the most beautiful music that I've ever heard.
-
Love the entire bass section smiling at 44:22
-
One of the most romantic symphonies.
