Is your car or truck pulling or drifting while driving? You checked out the front end, and all the steering and suspension parts are fine, so what could it be? Well, it depends, another common problem is stuck brakes! If a brake is stuck and slowing a wheel even when you're not braking, that can make your car or truck pull. Also, a brake that isn't working at all will cause pulling to the opposite side when you do put on the brakes! In this video, Len guides you through the steps so you can easily diagnose a pulling problem yourself!

1A Auto mechanics are very professional in making these videos. I would trust them way more than my local dealership.

Don't forget to check air pressure in the tires. Low pressure can cause a pull also. Have bought parts from 1A Auto in the past and got them quickly. Service is good!
  • Why can't all automotive diagnosis and repair videos be this straight forward yet be so informative? Awesome work!

This was awesome. I have been doing brakes for decades but this was a great video tutorial. As you know, the most difficult thing is diagnosing exactly wherein the problem lies and you showed me a comprehensive guide to brake diagnostics. Thank you!
  • Good job; simple, straightforward, no bedtime stories, just facts.....and that's the way it's supposed to be done!

Great video. One thing I found to assist in finding a sticking brake caliper is a Inferred Temp. checker. Drive down the road for a while, jump out and shoot each rotor to check temps. All mine except for one were within 5 degrees of one another and close to 170 degrees. The one sticking was 310 degrees. Quick and easy diagnosis.
  • Thank you for stepping through the process of identifying the potential causes of a pulling vehicle. I learn something new with each video that 1A Auto produces. Thank you!
  • Thanks for simplifying these repairs, and I have started ordering my parts from 1A auto with great results, Thanks

Don't forget to release the parking break before you start inspection on rear brakes

Really super informative. I have this issue now with car pulling and losing fluid. Brake is sinking. Taking it in tomorrow.
  • Indeed very informative We novice mechanics sometimes find ourselves with little bits of knowledge that we don't fully understand and the start to yet another issue and at that point making a cash flow to someone else's pockets some of use would rather save a few bucks and know how to do a job and do it right the first time out oh yeah and good maintenance is key to keep some things from happening in the first place Thank you for sharing it Shure means the world to someone who has this type of problem or looking for a problem in general The Holiday are upon us happy holidays to you and yours

You have the same brand and model Jack as I do. Now I know I have the good floor jack since you guys use it.
  • I'm sure glad that my 2002 Chevy pickup has disc brakes on the rear axle. Good presentation. Thank you.
