Would love to see a squadron of retired fighter pilots (and rio's), like Hasard, Ryan from Max Afterburner, Mooch Carroll, CW Lemoine go up against a squadron of elite virtual only pilots like Growling Sidewinder, Longshot and their buddies.
  • 4:39 i think you missed the asymetrical thrust maneuver from the su-27^^ that was brilliant move from that sim-pilot^^ like in top gun - maverick the dogfight scene^^

Hi Hasard. The first video deals with a F/A-18 Swiss Hornet. The solo display pilot does a demonstration in the heart of the Swiss Alps. Specifically on a shooting range named AXALP. This aerial show takes place every year and fighter planes make real shots at targets in the mountains. Trust me, a spectacular time to live !

Last clip was the definition of “Indian Top Gun”
  • Hi Hasard, Thanks for all the US aviation and fighter pilot content, I’ve been watching for a while and love seeing the difference with the UK where I’m at. I’m 18 and last summer did my first solo flight in a glider with the cadets, before that I had a pretty strong desire to fly fast jets as the RAF calls them, but the solo solidified that passion even more. Thanks for all the content, it helps sometimes when I’m stuck at college doing my A levels, and need to remember what I’m putting all this work in for. Rob

That first clip is from the axalp demonstration in Switzerland. Major trip to go on the bucket list!

Hi Hasard! I have shared the video to all my friends and have been subscribed for a good minute. I am truly appreciative of the hard work and sacrifice that you and your camarades have made, serving our country, and you can bet I already pre-ordered your book -- I cannot wait to read about your stories! Fun fact: I work on the F-35 project at Northrop Grumman ... so in a unique way, we have one less degree of separation than I would've thought. I wonder if any of the planes I am on projects for will make their way to you piloting them -- now that would be really cool. Would love to chat more with you, one day. Thank you again for all you do. Jay

The first clip was a Swiss Air Force vintage F/A-18 during the annual Axalp "Fliegerschiessen" in the Swiss alps. It includes target practice with the gun in between the air show elements as shown in this clip. There are quite some spectacular maneuvers to be seen, as the Swiss really know how to get the most out of the original Hornet in a confined space between two mountains and I'd love to hear your comments about it. 😊

Awesome video! Can't wait to see what's next up. Keep up the great work. Thank you

Great video! I'll never be a pilot, but I enjoyed it and will watch whatever you put up. I read about your book the other day and ordered it immediately thru Amazon - before I knew you had a site. And, it just came. I can't wait to learn what you have to teach us. I did share your site with my partner, who loves all things military, and with my son who just retired as an AF Col.

Regarding the flares at low altitude, have seen at many US airshows (Nellis and Miramar), where both the USAF and USMC have done flare deploys under 1000 feet agl. That being said, I do know airshows (especially at bases) have totally different rules. Awesome vid as always!

i just found your channel but i love it already keep up the good work and i was just wondering as someone who wants to join the airforce what was the hardest part of becoming a jet pilot
  • It's really amazing to see an actual fighter pilot comment on such videos. I got into fighter planes like a week ago for no reason and have been binge-watching your videos ever since. Thank you for the great content!
  • @crowlaroid
I just found your account now and I love your content already! I think I'll be spending many hours just watching your videos now :) Thanks for making this kind of content! I really enjoy listening to you!
  • I remember just rolling around on the floor laughing after watching that last one in a theatre. Movie's name is 'beast' and it's about this guy sneaking into Pakistan in a su30 and kidnapping a terrorist, stuffing him in the back and fighting his way into the sunset.

The dcs carrier clip was from grim reapers, they were trying to use a cobra to land on the deck and if I remember correctly they did catch a wire after about a week of trying
