Zero 7 makes me so nostalgic...Where does this song bring you back to? For me it’s a dorm room on a hot day. The windows are down and I should be studying Chinese, but instead I’m on Facebook (because it’s 2004), uploading pictures from my camera (because iPhones don’t exist) and applying bright, zany filters to them (because neither does Instagram). Those were the days...

Probably THE most underrated songwriters of the past 20 years. I've never understood why Zero 7 wasn't more popular.
  • @KittenAcademy
As a long time fan of both Pomplamoose and Zero 7 I find this to be almost as wonderful as kittens. Thanks so much for creating this excellent recording and video! The world doesn't deserve people as wonderful as you.

Simple Things is one of my very favourite albums ever. This owns.

Perfect display of "less is more". Such a lot of talent here, all groove, and not a single note wasted !
  • @bedmac2
So Zero 7 called this a "beautiful cover" and Sophie Barker said "loving this cover" (on their FB pages).
  • Phenomenal cover. You guys need to do more early 2000s chillout/trip-hop stuff. Nataly's voice is perfect for it.
  • @dastrn
If Pomplamoose made a remix album of the entire Garden State Soundtrack, I don't think I would need to ever listen to anything else.
  • @macaroniandtuna
I love Zero 7. But damn, this legit gave me music goosebumps.
  • @daniel_caron
Ya'll managed to capture the heart, soul, and groove of the original song in a fresh, new way. Well done!
  • @i-make-robots
This makes me want to hear your take on Portishead.

This is such a treat. I absolutely love Zero 7, they were such a huge part of my high school music taste (thanks to Zack Braff and the Garden State soundtrack). This is a stellar cover of their most popular song.
  • @Mikupigeon
Nice to see Hagar playing the bass here! I like her in James Corden's show.

you have no idea how thrilled i am to see this! feels like everyone's forgotten about trip hop
  • As always... the best constitution and ambiance from POMPLAMOOSE.
  • @Ahinaraful
Love it!!! Zero 7 was my favourite ❤️ it was like a long train trip with a beautiful golden sunset while listening to this song, and watching my hair dancing through the air gracefully while I'm sitting in the train
  • @unshavenmarc
You know it's execution of covers like this that makes me think "is there a mercy rule for being too awesome?"... I'm glad there isn't. Continue to deliver these astounding interpretations, P-Moosey.
  • @MondoTrashoCa
this respects the original and also makes it their own take.. bravo to all of you

I'm in Love! Nataly has such a presence when she is singing. I love the way she scrunches her nose to get those high notes. I should explain that when I say I love her, it is as a grandfather to his granddaughter. I AM celebrating my 85th in a few days. I never would have found Radiohead or Zero 7 had it not been for Pomplamoose. Can't wait for my next discovery. Thank You!
