Hair porosity is basically just a fancy way of saying how well your hair holds moisture and how close together your hair cuticles are packed, but knowing how to work with it can make the difference between frizzy, dull hair and shampoo commercial-worthy locks. Some people are naturally more prone to certain porosity types, but a well informed hair care routine can transform even the most damaged head of hair. #haircareroutine #beautyhacks #fyi #healthyhair

Actually if it is sinks all the way down it just means it's high porosity. Has nothing to do with health

Porosity has absolutely NOTHING to do with hait health.

Does this method actually work? I mean can hair break the surface tension of the water just like that?

Well my hair strand floated for a few secs then sunk slowly but the tips of the strands floated 😂

I put a clean strand of my tape in extension (processed and bleached blonde) and then I put a clean strand of my virgin brown hair that has also never been touched by any heat tools. They both sunk to the bottom. I highly doubt my virgin hair strand is the same health level as my tape in hair strand that has been high processed

People clearly have no idea what this all means lol. You want to have low porosity hair, that means healthy. High porosity means damaged, the cuticles easily open up due to months or years of neglect. Our cuticles should be tightly shut, as low porosity does to protect it from any dirt or damage.

When I drop it from air,it floats for a long time until I press the hair down into the water,it then sinks. What type of hair porosity do I have??
  • @odysseus2k1
this test isn't accurate. my hair stays above the water, but if i push my hair into the water, it will stay down. so...what?
  • @Marianne845
I’m guessing there’s no way to change the porosity right ? I’m sorry this is a dumb question
