I liked how he had 2 personas 1 - with the mask on, he was energetic and kinda goofy 2 - mask off, he was calm, cool, very relaxed

Hobie was on Miles side ever since they met, he literally helped him escape and quit while the other's were chasing Miles

I just noticed that hobie was subtly trying to stop miles from getting to Miguel, like when he said “we don’t follow rules, neither does he” and tries to hold miles from going to hq, “make your own watch you don’t need all this”, and when he puts his feet on the desk to block miles from going into Miguel’s room

The fact that Hobie is so against any form of systematic rules that the animators animated him on 3s unlike anyone else, his jacket on 4s, and his guitar on 3s and 4s just to be... well not like the norm. The "rulebreaking" character is truly sticking to his morals! Insane.

I lose it everytime Miguel looks at Hobie and says "I'm just gonna try and ignore you...I just can't...I ca--trails off He's so mean with everyone but Hobie he can't deal with? I love it.

My favorite part about Hobie is that he's on Miles' side from the very start. There's no rivalry between them (or at least it's one sided), Hobie never treats Miles lesser because he's new or a danger. In their very first interaction Hobie gives Miles solid advice on how to better use his powers, and from that point on he does everything he can to help Miles. That's a good damn friend right there, and it's so cool seeing the rebellious punk character being the kindest person in the movie

i love that Hobie said to Miles "cause you not ready for every body else" and stole some gadgets. it took me the 2 nd watch to notice every words he said, or actions he did just so as to keep Miles from getting any closer to Miguel and to prepare for whats coming later (a selfmade watch for Gwen). Dang, Hobie and Mayday are true anarchists.

I like Hobie. He's his own person. He knows how to have fun. He hates tyrannical power and propaganda and he doesn't want to join the team if it means going against his principles. He's not pretentious.

It's crazy also watching Spot get progressively more sinister and less amused as the scene goes on, until he suddenly takes out 3 spiderpeople with no effort and Miles is forced to take him seriously. The scene almost isn't centered around him until he suddenly demands it. It can almost slip by you unless you're paying attention to it, because the focus is on introducing Hobie and the other spiderpeople quipping casually as they fight. Brilliant
