The first and most famous Schumann's symphony. One of my 10 favourites symphonies ever!

Absolutely brilliant interpretation!

A couple years ago, Nézet-Séguin directed the Montréal Metropolitan Orchestra for a Beethoven festival. They did all 9 symphonies, one per day. He conducted them all **without scores** ! I was privileged to assist to the 9th, it was magical! Yannick is sympathetic, down to hearth, try to see interviews, he knows his trade very well!

I love this conductor!

Searching for Schubert’s symphony, I came across this beautiful piece. BRAVO🎉
-
Bravissimo! Schumann meraviglioso.
-
Schumann's symphonies are notoriously difficult to bring because his orchestration is so thick. This performance is as airy and transparent as Mendelssohn. Great playing, great conducting.

I downloaded him conducting Beethoven's pastoral symphony * he's absolutely amazing!
