I love how Alec always teaches us lessons in the form of songs. It’s so comforting. This song actually helped me realize that my friend turned out to be toxic, and I was brushing off the signs. I didn’t realize how much they affected me. My mental health was low for four years. Now, I’m recovering, and trying to get back up again. It’s so amazing what one song can do. Edit 3 weeks later (which felt like forever): I was recovering really fast, at an unbelievable pace, and then, everything shattered. Again. I’m now worse than I started, but I’m ready to improve. Hopefully I recover for good. Edit a month later: With the help of friends, I am slowly healing. I still have a lot to go through, but I feel way better than before. Ten months: I’m doing great. I have a girlfriend who treats me so well, and I got a whole new friend group and I am so much happier. I am so thankful for the support from everyone. About five months in recovery I started getting really depressed, and I did attempt scuicide. But I am so glad my friends helped me get back up and I am so glad that I am still here.

This hits HARD when it completely relates to your dad

This song made me realize that I don’t need my dad and to stop giving him chances he doesn’t deserve, I listen to it every time I want to give him another chance

2 years ago I met a man and was everything toxic and bad, a healer who couldn't heal himself but he's changed alot, learnt to forgive himself, love himself more, Joined the gym... He had childhood traumas that made him so bitter and hate the world, he wasn't the devil, he was just a kid who wanted to be loved, noticed, cared for, shown affected, trusted, treated as a pride , encouraged, stayed loyal to, he's the best thing that's happened to me, we are more of friends than lovers, I love him soooo so much. I believe in him. He even prays to God now... Let's remove the evil to turn the devil into the angel it was by loving, accepting, changing not drastically but patiently

You know? Seeing the number of people getting cheated makes me glad I keep my bars up high and hold my heart close to me so that noone can break it. Single all the wayyy

Alec has helped through my rough times, especially with this song. I grew up with a father who never cared about me and growing up I kept giving him chances until at a very young age I opened my eyes seeing who he really is. At the age of 21 I blocked him out of my life and now on the road to recovery, healing my mental state that he has taking a toll on my whole life.

Great song. For anyone caught up in some evil due to the devil's false promises, I pray the spirit of God gives you the strength and courage to say 'enough is enough' and follow the light...Amen.

This song hits a soft spot with me. All of Alec's songs teach us something about what life can throw out at you and sometimes you have to deal with a devil like he is talking about I know that I have before and it breaks you down and sometimes you can't come back from that.

It hurts when you know this song is 100% right and yet you still know you gonna go back to him and nothing is gonna stop you 😢
