The author is incorrect that byd LPF batteries are the cause of their car fire problems. The problem is only in their plug-in hybrid models, not in their full battery of electric models. So it is most likely there power electronics that are blowing the cars up.

Here in Brasil people are doing more than 200 mile on the Byd Seagull, 38kw batt.

Tesla fixed its battery fires by updating its BMS near the end of its first year. BYD is having thousands of car fires annually. Caveat emptor, but then you need to avoid the Big 3 vehicles for the same reason, too. I thought Elon made all his info public when he opened his patents years ago. The LiFePo4 (LFP) batteries do not catch fire.

One key factor is that BYD is supported and subsidized by the Chinese government and Tesla is shunned and downplayed by the US government.

You have to see the seagull next to a person to realize HOW HUGE MURICAN CARS HAVE GOTTEN, THEY'RE HUGE, the seagull is just normal sized. Get over yourselves murikans, you're not exceptional (except in girth) and DON'T NEED THE HUGE VEHICLES YOU DRIVE.

I’m surprised Tesla hasn’t already hired the winning hacker team or put them under contract to be full-time white hat hackers. I would also worry about cybersecurity for Dojo; infiltration could make a real mess for Tesla Drivers and set back the FSD (and other) efforts. Maybe Dojo is air-gapped; that would be very wise.
