Despite these changes, the phone retains its core quirky identity, continuing to cater to creators and smartphone power users. hate me if you want but this is the best design phone ever. no holes in the screen, flat display, headphone jack, expandable storage, front face speakers, exceptional battery life by the looks of it. What else is there to want?

2024 and still the only company (?) having a clean screen without annoying punch holes and front facing speakers.
  • Uninterrupted screen, tool-less sim tray, support for MicroSD card, 3.5mm audio jack, front-firing stereo speakers, and dedicated shutter button are example of how the phone is unique among other flagships.

Coming from a Samsung user, I really commend Sony for keeping this design. They don't go with the flow, making them unique. Reminds me of the first experia phones with their distinct design. Plus headphone jack and expandable storage? I can only wish my S4 is like this. I'm happy with my device though. Wish Sony gets more attention.

I'm not on the market for a new phone, but I'm just happy this exists as an option. I dearly miss LG and the V-series...

This phone feels like it’s fresh out of 2017… AND THATS A GOOD THING!!

What memories of the first Sony Xperia. And the Xperia Play!

Yesss! Finally a phone without a weird round screen + a huge punch hole or a camera bezel in the middle of the screen. Thank you sony. 3.5mm headphone jack, shutter button , alpha camera connection + micro sd card. Wow. Its by far the best phone.

My favourite design of a smarphone has always been Sony Xperia 1 series.

Nice to see that Sony is still there💪 Perfect review 🇧🇬
  • I own the 1 mark V. I haven't seen the mark VI. But using 1 mark V daily for 6 months +, I can say you'll get satisfaction using that phone. It's capable of taking amazing pictures which requires your skills, not AI trickery, can take some decent auto shots but those may not be best in class though I don't find huge differences, has really fantastic speakers and great audio via the 3.5 and BT and a very stable and strong network. I'm using it reasonably with multiple push mails, calls and lots of video watching, music and photos (amateur hobby). The battery scrapes me through the day (7+ SOT). Though I do charge it for 10-15 minutes in the evening and then to 90% overnight. I normally don't post reviews, comments etc. but do read them. A ton of people criticise this brand's. But I find most of them a bit cooked and incorrect. Hence thought of putting my views in. Sure there are other brands which makes good phones, provide longer updates etc. It is your money that you'll spend. Don't ignore something just because a bunch of non users post their imaginary thoughts.

Everyone is complaining about the removal of 4K and not even taking into consideration that this phone basically lasts twice as long as the S24 Ultra, while still being quite close to its overall screen brightness.

On my 3rd Xperia, a 1 IV. I will miss the 21:9 form factor, it's such a lovely phone to hold while still having the same height as larger phones for scrolling uses. I will also miss the Alpha-style UI for the pro mode, it's something I've really grown to love on my 1II and 1IV. But if these relatively minor sacrifices must be made for Sony to continue to justify the Xperia line then I will take them, even with those losses, there's still enough to keep it unique and oh so Sony.
