I'm in the marine corps now and I played it on my speaker when we got released for weekend liberty last weekend, and 10 other Marines started singing along while we walked back to our barracks and I of course joined in. This is a long comment peeps. Just warning you all haha 😄 This came on the radio once when I was in the car with my mum and 4 year old neice. I was singing along to it and I stopped to faff around in my handbag. My neice from the back seat suddenly shouted "sing Liccy! Sing!" 🤣🤣 I started singing along to it again and she was squirming in her car seat so happy I had started singing it again. I didn't think ever think she would remember that with her being 4 and having so many other things go on in her happy little life but she did. She came out with it again months and months afterwards and I said it's one of my favourite songs. She got me to play it on my phone. I honestly cannot believe she remembered and now she knows it's my favourite she asks for it to be played and we both sing. When I'm playing with her doing colouring or crafts as she calls them she sings the parts she remembers under her breath when she is enjoying herself and in her own world. She calls this the Shut up song. She isn't allowed to say shut up to anyone so I think she's sneakily quite happy she gets to say "shut up" in the song 🤟 I am so so unbelievably happy that one day when I am not here she will hear this song and remember me 💜
