Taco Bell is huge in the United States. It has been ranked as one of the top five fast-food chains in the country, based on sales. Despite the brand's popularity, Taco Bell has been dealing with upheaval in its C-suite.

With more than 6,500 locations across the country, Taco Bell is one of the top fast-food chains in the U.S. It is not necessarily known for its quality, but a recent Harris Poll anointed it "America's favorite Mexican restaurant."

Much of Taco Bell's recent innovation was initiated under the watch of former CEO, Brian Niccol. But in 2018, Niccol left the chain to helm one of Taco Bell's biggest competitors — Chipotle. He has since moved Chipotle's headquarters into Taco Bell's backyard. Some say recent turnover in top management could mean trouble for Taco Bell in the years ahead.

What's your favorite fast food brand?
  • @WalnutSpice
As long as weed and alcohol exist, Taco Bell will exist.

Opening a taco bell in Mexico is like trying to open an olive garden in Italy edit:wtf i didn't know this comment went viral, anyways my point is, why get some half assed "italian/mexican" food form a fastfood chain when you can go down the street to get the same food more authentic and cheaper?
  • I've never heard an intoxicated person say "hey, let's get Chipotle."

Sometimes when my friends ask me what we should go eat, I suggest Taco Bell. They'll tell me, "You know it's not real Mexican food, right?" And I'll reply back, "I didn't say I wanted Mexican food. I said I wanted Taco Bell."

Just keep the prices low and everyone will keep eating there.

I can't count the times when I was paying +30 bucks at some restaurant, and thought "I'd rather just be eating a Nachos BellGrande than this". It's not even remotely Mexican food, but it is tasty.

Taco Bell, Panda Express and Olive Garden are their own thing, that’s what makes them different and liked because they take on the roots of their origins but with their own twist, just like California rolls and Japanese Sushi.

    1. Only restaurant open at 2 am besides dominos 2. Cheap 3. Baja Blast

I’ve never compared Taco Bell to chipotle. There nothing alike, at least in my opinion. To me Taco Bell and del taco are competitors.
  • @BuckBlaziken
Taco Bell is like a guilty pleasure restaurant. No one wants to admit it, but everyone has a soft spot for at least one of its food items

"I mean, love Taco Bell. Its one of those restaurants that like... like its tacos haha" Director: This is excellent footage
  • @levivv
This video misses that Taco Bell competes primarily NOT with Chipotle, Qdoba and Moes but with McDonalds, Burger King and Wendys

I'm mexican and love taco bell. Also i think I speak for everyone when I say we go to Taco Bell for Taco Bell not mexican food. I live in Cali so I can find mexican food anywhere
  • It's not in my country so when I took a trip to Singapore in 2002 and saw that there was a mall across the street from my hotel that had KFC/Pizza Hut/Taco Bell all grouped together in one shop, I decided to try it out. It was the tastiest most delectable fast food I ever ate in my entire life. Every bite was like my taste buds having a party. I spent a week in Singapore eating Taco Bell morning noon and night for every single meal each day until it was time to go home. No regrets.

“Mexico already has their own good cheap Mexican food”. No, Mexico has something authentic from home.
  • @adjiar
Can't believe I just watched a 15 min Taco Bell ad...

At Taco Bell, I order the same thing every time: 7-layer burrito. Dependable.
