Dio lost to Jonathan. And Dio coped so hard, that he discovered and invisible force that explained his loss.

Don't let any of this distract you from the fact that despite Made in Heaven advancing time to insane speeds, Rohan Kishibe still got his manga in by the fuckin' deadline!
  • @TravTravYT
"He trusted Pucci" followed by "He sent him to Florida" got me howling for some reason, you trust him THAT much lmao

Bruh Pucci’s way to evolve his stand is the same type of shit as following some elaborate guide to try and find a Mew under the truck in Pokemon

I still can't believe Araki nuked the first universe so we can have a deeper understanding on fate

"Do you believe in gravity?" Jotaro: N O "Flies away"

ive always felt so bad for emporio. imagine being the only one to understand everything that had happened, with no one to confide in or understand the terrifying experiences you went through. how you alone, as an 11 year old child, were tasked with saving the world from this very powerful man with the ability to do so many things. emporio likely can't tell anyone else, at least not in a way they would understand or even believe him

I have to hand it to DIO, the guy is one of the more interesting villains I've come to know. Not only did he want world domination, but the guy had plans and beliefs, unusual for someone who rejected their humanity.

"Ok so, what's your talent?" Hamon Beat: I understood jojo's plot "Ok you're in"

The irony in all of this, is that the whole goal was to come to accept fate. However, DIO and Pucci's fatal weakness was not accepting their own fate to fail.
  • @c_xela
My theory is that Dio, thinking that his fate was to conquer and rule the world, planned all of this so that the world would accept that reality. There would be no resistance and no hope for humanity, just acceptance of Dio's permanent reign.
  • When the Stone Ocean anime finally comes out, more and more people will appreciate it for its story and characters

"Polnareff, have you ever considered why humans wish to live? Humans live hoping to conquer their anxieties and fears, and attain peace of mind. Seeking fame, controlling others, and acquiring wealth are all done to achieve peace of mind. Marriage and friendship are also pursued as a means of attaining peace of mind. When humans say they wish to help others, or that a thing is done for love or justice... It's all merely to give themselves peace of mind. To achieve peace of mind is the goal of all mankind. Now, given that, what anxiety could you possibly feel toward serving me? Any other peace of mind will come easily if you do." - DIO - Part 3.

I love how everything is so interconnected in JoJo. I never thought about all of the plot points in conjunction.

Something that I thought about when seeing the ending again through the anime was that, when Pucci was about to be killed, he begged Emporio to wait until the cycle was complete, then he would accept his defeat. But if that was the case, he wouldn’t have stopped the acceleration briefly in the first place, he just couldn’t accept that the Joestars will and Emporio (the one carrying on that will) would carry over and potentially defeat him in the future of his and Dio’s new universe, and that proved to be his undoing, trying to bend fate to his will one last time.

Pucci by far was one of the most terrifying villains. He wasn’t consumed by world domination, gaining the ultimate power, or having a “quiet life.” In his mind, what he is doing is selfless, and he genuinely believes what he is doing is right. He is as determined as the Joestar bloodline, often times calm, cool and collected— it was so wild to see a villain who was constantly one or two steps ahead of Joylene and the crew, and a first to see a villain make even Jotaro panic. Easily one of my favorite villains in general of all time.

Araki: Uses the word heaven because dio means god Hamon: * rediscovers relativity and string theory*
  • So the reason all main antagonist in parts 3-6 have time-related Stands could be because of a strong wish to alter fate.
  • @GG256_
Part 6 is by far the most complex and interesting thing Araki has ever written. The depth to complete this ritual and the character motivations are literally the penultimate event in this universe. I'm so glad the anime is good.

Pucci: “That’s a good plan DIO, but why tf do I need to do all of this random a** sh**?” DIO: “because I made it the f*** up”
