What is Omega Mart? STORY EXPLAINED

Personally, I don't think they're criticizing socialism. From what it seems, they appear to be criticizing plutocracy. Although I don't blame you for getting the two confused because many countries considered socialist are actually just State Capitalist (Like modern day China, North Korea and the USSR) which is a form of plutocracy. In a socialist society, the means of production are controlled by the working class where as in a State Capitalist society the means of production belong to the people who run the government. A plutocracy. OmegaMart seems to be criticizing this. Dramcorp reminds me a lot of the mega-corporation Better Living Industries from the comic series The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. In fact, the similarities of the two lores are shockingly similar. The desert setting, the half cyberpunk half fantasy aesthetic half sci-fi cosmic space opera. Wonder if they got inspiration from the comic.

Stop asking questions, omega mart is a perfectly normal grocery store just like any other human grocery store. Just ask fellow human Mark Zuckerberg.

I first found the commercials for Omega Mart and first i thought they were just funny videos like [Adult Swim], then i found out it was a real place, and i thought oh its a neat attraction, and now I know it goes so much deeper than a video trying to sell you Nut free salted peanuts.

So: extracting the creativity and joy from people to sell it back to them. Self awareness that they are an art installation, but still essentially a business selling a product. You take part in the creativity, but pay to do that, it's comoditised art, in a system that comoditises art.
