I do declare, Mickey Hart has got to be one of the most interesting people/musicians in America/the world. What an epic legacy he will leave when he finally passes into Eternity: all the drummers he has inspired, all the instruments he has collected and donated and all the cultures he has documented…not to mention his collaboration with a particular rock band. Mickey is the Man!

When I watch and listen to all Playing For Change gatherings of such magnificent talent it is the miracle of all people speaking the same language, the putting aside all differences and in that moment we know we are one people.
