DUNE: PART TWO

The saga continues as award-winning filmmaker Denis Villeneuve embarks on “Dune: Part Two,” the next chapter of Frank Herbert’s celebrated novel Dune, with an expanded all-star international ensemble cast. The film, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, is the highly anticipated follow-up to 2021’s six-time Academy Award-winning “Dune.”

The big-screen epic continues the adaptation of Frank Herbert’s acclaimed bestseller Dune with returning and new stars, including Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet (“Wonka,” “Call Me by Your Name”), Zendaya (“Spider-Man: No Way Home,” “Malcolm & Marie,” “Euphoria”), Rebecca Ferguson (“Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning”), Oscar nominee Josh Brolin (“Avengers: End Game,” “Milk”), Oscar nominee Austin Butler (“Elvis,” “Once Upon A Time...In Hollywood”), Oscar nominee Florence Pugh (“Black Widow,” “Little Women”), Dave Bautista (the “Guardians of the Galaxy” films, “Thor: Love and Thunder”), Oscar winner Christopher Walken (“The Deer Hunter,” “Hairspray”), Stephen McKinley Henderson (“Fences,” “Lady Bird”), Léa Seydoux (the “James Bond” franchise and “Crimes of the Future”), with Stellan Skarsgård (the “Mamma Mia!” films, “Avengers: Age of Ultron”), with Oscar nominee Charlotte Rampling (“45 Years,” “Assassin’s Creed”), and Oscar winner Javier Bardem (“No Country for Old Men,” “Being the Ricardos”).

“Dune: Part Two” will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.

Villeneuve directed from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jon Spaihts based on Herbert’s novel. The film is produced by Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Villeneuve, Tanya Lapointe and Patrick McCormick. The executive producers are Josh Grode, Herbert W. Gains, Jon Spaihts, Thomas Tull, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, Kim Herbert, with Kevin J. Anderson serving as creative consultant.

Villeneuve is again collaborating with his “Dune” creatives: Oscar-winning director of photography Greig Fraser; Oscar-winning production designer Patrice Vermette; Oscar-winning editor Joe Walker; Oscar-winning visual effects supervisor Paul Lambert; Oscar-nominated costume designer Jacqueline West. Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer is again on hand to create the score.

“Dune: Part Two” was filmed on location in Budapest, Abu Dhabi, Jordan and Italy. The film is slated for a March 15, 2024 worldwide release from Warner Bros. Pictures.

“The power to destroy a thing is the absolute control over it.” One of the most powerful lines in the book. Glad to hear it!

I'm not even a Dune fan and this trailer made me tear up... this is what sci-fi is supposed to be with our current technology. This should be the new standard like how Dark Knight was for Superhero movies.

The worst thing about my life is that I will never get to see Dune Part Two for the first time ever again.

I just watched DUNE 2. I have only one thing to say as a childhood fan. DUNE 2 WAS F’N EPIC!!! I was trying to not cry during the movie. I love the twists in the story, they really know when to do it! I’m so proud of Denis Villeneuve and his work! What a masterpiece!

"There is nothing more dangerous than a charismatic leader" - Frank Herbert. The fanaticism in Stilgar's eyes as he raises his crysknife and professes his belief...Denis clearly understands what Dune is all about. Cannot wait for this movie, and then Messiah after it.

I love how you can already feel Paul’s darker turn in this trailer alone, I’m so excited to see how Denis finishes this story!

"I recognize your footsteps, old man" only those who watched Dune 2 know, brilliant writing.

Watched it today, and man I am not even hesitant to call it one of the best sci-fi adaptation of all time. The story progresses so organically, nothing felt rushed, the lore and the world comes naturally and keep building up and up. You know a film is good when you get a jaw drop and that too in a scene where Paul is just speaking passionately among Fremens in the latter half of the film, so powerful.

Denis Villeneuve is literally the saviour of the sci fi genre in cinema. Arrival, Blade Runner, Dune. As a sci fi lover i'm so glad an amazing director like him has such a passion for this genre!

"A longstanding dream of mine is to adapt Dune, but it’s a long process to get the rights, and I don’t think I will succeed" -Denis Villeneuve, September 2016 during the "Arrival" promotion And now he's fulfilling his dream in getting a chance to adapt his beloved sci fi story, i'm so proud of him 👍

Saw it this weekend. It will be the only movie I've ever paid twice to see in the theater. It was far beyond my hopes and expectations. Please God make part 3.

Just got back from seeing it at IMax, what an incredible film. One of the most immersive cinema experiences I’ve ever had.
  • @alp9323
This is what I miss from cinema, artistry, grandeur, proper story telling. Simply incredible

It’s now finally occurred to me how absolutely massive this movie is actually going to be. When Denis and the entirety of the cast kept on saying again and again that Part 1 was really just a setup film, apparently they weren’t kidding in the slightest. Long live the fighters indeed!
  • @TT-jz7ri
Came back here because just watched it today. The movie was nothing but epic! Beautifully done and acted.
  • @notdn
I have lived the greatest cinematic events. The madness that was Star Wars in the late 70s as a teenager. The phenomenon that was The Lord of the Rings at the beginning of the century... Nothing comes close to what I felt when leaving the cinema after watching Dune part 2. Absolutely nothing. The most powerful, emotional, epic, beautiful, captivating and wonderful thing I have ever seen. I'm on my way to the 3rd viewing. This time alone in what I have made sure is an empty cinema late at night.
  • @nickywags0712
The reunion with Gurney is such a sweet moment in the book. His shock and awe at the man Paul has become is awesome. Can’t wait to see it on the screen
  • When Paul yells “Long live the fighters!”, totally got goosebumps! LOOKS INCREDIBLY PHENOMENAL! Better than the first trailer and that’s why this is my most anticipated movie of this year.
  • @MosesMatsepane
This first movie was a perfect 10. It can only get better.

Just finished watching Dune2. I’m still recovering from this epic, cinematic masterpiece…I might just add that this could be the greatest film of our times.
