It's incredible how the Spanish empire could go on for so long being at (almost) constant wars against the moors, France, the Ottomans, England, the protestants, in America, in Asia (Philippines)...and sometimes at the same time.

This was a great series. While discussing this era, I would love to see you guys show the Spanish conquest of the Americas in a series of its own. People always focus on the fall of the Aztecs and Incas, but I would love to see you guys cover the wider picture.

I'm suprised by how many common and still widely used Spanish proverbs did these wars give birth to. In this case: "Se ha armado la de San Quintín". Which is a way of saying: "All hell broke loose".

The Habsburgs really got the better of the French & Italians in this war. I'm certain the French/Italians will not remember this and come back swinging at any point in the future. The Spanish Habsurg Empire will rule for a thousand years!
