It’s amazing what this mod has achieved. The lighting engine was entirely redesigned to look the exact same as legacy Minecraft used to look before it was discontinued for Bedrock edition. The gamma slider is functional in this mod. You are able to use a controller. The legacy menus and crafting has been implemented. The legacy custom superflat worlds are also in this mod allowing you to create fun and unique worlds for a challenge. There is also the tutorial world and many more features to explore in this mod so check it out for yourself and have a play around of all the things it adds to the game and brings back from console.

There's a modpack version using this mod called "Re-Console" it adds some old resource packs, old world generation, old combat and other stuff. Highly recommend it

I have a friend with PS4 legacy console edition and since it got updated to 1.14 it felt like a fever dream version compared to Nintendo Switch 1.12 and Wii U 1.13

This mod is amazing. I found it back in May and it blew my mind. I use it for most of my videos now, it's not even just a nostalgia thing, I think console edition has the best aesthetic out of every version of the game. Having the console ui's and sound effects pasted on top of Java edition is the best of both worlds

I JUST started playing multiplayer MC with my cousin again after 4 years. We're going through the new update features in that time and I want to get him into Zelda too. I found this video and the Zelda music really funny lol

I transferred my Xbox One edition world to Java and played it on this mod, that really brought back the nostalgia for me. Also as a bonus I can have backups of my world now instead of having it just be stuck on the Xbox!
