Probably it's not the games that we miss. It's the good old days when we were just kids chillin with our gameboy with no other worries that we miss..

Pokemon Silver...takes me back to the great times in 4th grade, I remember I couldn't beat Chuck from Cianwood city, and I saw a kid after school with his Gameboy waiting for his mom to pick him up, I asked him if he had beaten that gym and he said yes, the key was to use a flying pokemon and I remember he had a Pidgeot. The kid and I became friends and we are still friends until now, I am 27 years old now. This was way before youtube game walkthroughs, so everything was a bit more exciting and fun because you didn't know what to expect. I got SoulSilver in 2011 and It will always be my favorite pokemon game.

We played this game 20 YEARS AGO. 20 YEARSSS

It's crazy to me that people are doing remixes/renditions of games that came out 20 years ago. I bet that the music composers never imagined having such an impact and influence spawning a new generation of musicians. To me all thos video game music composers are the new Mozarts, Beethoven, Weather Report etc...oh and great rendition by the way, I will be listening to this all the time throughout my daily life.

Pokemon Crystal is the first video game I've ever played. To this day, even after putting my nostalgia beside, it is still my favorite game in the franchise. I've never had music make me feel nostalgic before. but man, those first few notes in this mix made me feel like a child again. Keep doing what you do.

Glad this genre exists for gaming music. This is a great service.
-
I really appreciate you compiling these mixes by region. Sometimes I want to ONLY listen to clean Unova beats, or sick Johto jams.
-
This was the 2nd game I played. First one was Pokemon Yellow. This game is still the best imo, the story, the characters, the build up, the progression, the thrill of running into a wild Raikou and an Entei, becoming the champion, conquering Kanto and becoming the champion again, it's just.... It's so much to take in. Where did all the time go? Ecruteak city's music will always the go-to chill tune...

that image of ecruteak is so nostalgic. i remember first seeing about HGSS when i brought a nintendo magazine in early 2010 and saw a full page add of that image with a voucher that made me go out and get the game. best pokemon game ever

This is an amazing mix!! I literally started crying hearing it. It reminded me of the days when I'd go to summer care and all my friends would tell stories anbout pokemon. We also traded and battled daily. Those were some of the best years.
-
Nostalgia doesnt usually hit me very hard.... except this one. This takes me back to being 8 and playing Silver. woof. Excuse me while I definitely dont cry in the other room...
-
All these years, and Soul Silver is still my favorite in the whole series. Man, this was nice...
-
Heartgold was my very first Pokemon game (a little late to series because of parents) so this music is very nostalgic feeling.
-
Jotho's music feels like it is not just nostslgic because of literal nostalgia, but the music just is composed nostslgic. It has this reminisince-vibe to it and I guess that does fit to the region with its burned down tower, traditions and Story around Team Rocket trying to reach back to their glory days

Listening to lofi is like taking a musical journey into a serene realm, where stress melts away, and creativity finds its space to flourish.
-
I always tear up at the first song where Ash and Pikachu meet. Right when Prof. Oak mentions his electrifying personality.. sickest drop ever!
-
The transition between the first and second songs was so flawless, I didn't even notice it. The basslines between the two are almost identical.
-
Beautiful Ecruteak artwork, and the first few notes of Goldenrod City...pure bliss.
