Jack Black’s enthusiasm and passion for rock, metal and music overall is really inspiring. There’s a brilliance in his comedy. And an honesty I love.

"The way Chris sang a note, it was like he was opening a portal to another dimension" never thought about it that way, but its 110% accurate.
  • This right here exemplifies JB’s gift: in the heavy air of a somber, serious event, he manages to bring a smile and laughter that the world so desperately needs. My eternal respect to him, always.

Chris's voice still brings me to tears sometimes. He was the brightest star.

4:59 that line from "One" Jackblack really killed it. His voice is powerful.

I love this scene. Jack seemed genuinely excited and honored to belt out while Het rocked it.

I think the part I struggle with most in the loss of Chris and Chester, is that listening back through all of their early music... they literally screamed out their pain to the world through music ; millions of us heard those songs and cries for help. It chills me in hindsight, and breaks my heart. It has made me more cognizant in paying attention to the screams of people who don’t get their “song” played on the radio

There’s probably never been a room Jack Black wasn’t welcome in

Chris had such a unique voice. Still can't believe he's gone

Jack Black is a massive lover of music and you can tell it is in his heart and soul. He has a way with words for sure. Even though he was goofing around trying to lighten the mood and make people laugh he also showed a great deal of respect for Chris's talent. You can also see Jacks love and devotion to music when he does the Kennedy Honors speech for Led Zeppelinsi Presidential award from Obama. Jack is a class act.
  • May God give you the peace you could not find in this world Chris... We miss you brother, and we love you.

Chris Cornell is easily the greatest hard rock voice since the 90's. He was such a tremendous talent that gave so much....sadly, his time ended to soon. Thank you Chris Cornell.....or the passion that you gave to your art.

I don't think the perfection of Chris's singing has been better described than Jack's explanation. It really did feel like he could sing notes that didn't exist that would open a portal to another dimension.
  • We must keep him alive by playing all his songs and music for ever and ever

i love how Jack pays attention to so much detail when it has to do with music

At a concert in Portland OR ~ solo Chris Cornell ~ I almost fainted from his high note ~ it was so pure and high ~ I might’ve been at the door of the portal ;) Love Chris !
