Ever since Firefly’s big reveal, I’ve wished for artists and animators to start swapping Sam/Firefly moments, like reliving our first meeting with Firefly but instead of a cute girl skipping around with us it’s a huge mecha taking a selfie and getting sentimental. I am elated that everyone was and is on the same page as me. I’ve never been so happy.

it’s actually kind of scary how accurate and realistic that is firefly and sam could have easily had swapped roles and the voice actors playing along and speaking each other’s lines just further proves that point

SAM speaking Fly's line's hits different, the armor sort of loses the tokusatsu superhero connotations, and takes on a like, a Darth Vader-esque life support system vibe.

2:45 Can I say? Whenever Sam is (or rather firefly without the armour) talking with us. Firefly ALMOST sounds she is warning us to stay away instead of threatening us? As black swan and Acheron have green outlines and we don’t in her eyes. Almost like she sees them as a threat and wants to protect us? Just thought (I love FIREFLY VA doing the Sam lines! So tough but still wholesome since it’s Firefly!) Analesa can do one heck of a menacing Firefly! (Despite her being so sweet)!

The rooftop scene with Sam instead of Firefly really hits home just how bad her situation is. There is a real chance that the Sam Armor is the only thing keeping Firefly functioning at this point, if not outright keeping her alive. And hearing a hulking beast of metal confess his despair at his condition somehow hits harder than a petit girl talking about it. Yeah, it's terrible either way, but the contrast between something that looks strong and unfeeling admitting his weakness is startling.
