One of the best. No swearing, cussing or sexual innuendo. They are not made like bob anymore. What a guy.
  • I actually just wrote a letter to Bob Newhart earlier this month congratulating him on the 95 years he spent in the field of stand up comedy, and I certainly hope it got to him in time and that he got to read it. RIP bob Newhart, The Bob Newhart Show and Newhart were some of my favourite sitcoms growing up, and he is going to truly be missed.

When I told my wife about Bob's passing, she was understandably sad, but we both agreed he had a long run, and brought a lot of happiness into the world. And then she said, "Now he's with his best friend, Don Rickles." And that is a comfort.
  • Because of the Bob Newhart show, I discovered Psychology as a profession and have been a psychologist for over 30 years. Divine Inspiration!

Your genuine brand of clean comedy will never come this way again. We have lost a legend today. God rest you in peace.
  • I'm 58 and all the entertainers I grew up with from the 1970’s- 90's are passing away. It's a wake-up call I suppose as I'm up there as well. All these deaths are almost giving me a bit of a panic attack. 2024 has been another year for huge losses. RIP Bob Newhart. One of the greats.

Mr Newhart elevated the notion of comedy from the clown with a red nose and a Selzer bottle, to a thinking mans comic, with his deadpan delivery and dry humor he was the greatest that all other comics tryed to imitate but few succeeded. Thanks for laughter sir, we'll never see the likes of you again.
  • I have always had a warm spot for his wonderful humor! He will be missed😢

One of the truly original comedians ever. His dry wit and quirky delivery never failed to bring a laugh. And he was never mean about humor. And the ending of the second Bob Newhart show with Suzanne Pleshette reprising her role? Genius on so many levels! Here's one actor I will truly miss.
  • What a life and career. I still watch "Newhart". It's my comfort show. RIP Bob. You'll be missed.
