  • Been using chicken broth instead of water for ages. Makes the rice that much better 🫡

Yes! I love cooking rice with dashi stock. Just add a teaspoon of instant dashi and a tablespoon of soy sauce (or tamari if you need/want to avoid gluten) to the cooking water, for each cup of uncooked rice.

I have used chicken broth and it is good. Rotel is another that is really nice.

Use Tumeric Powder with water or broth. Rice becomes yellow. It is common in Indonesian or Indian Food.

I either use either broth or tomato juice to cook rice. I moved away from water awhile ago

There's a European vegetable based seasoning called Vegeta that my family has been using for years. It will replace your salt as it contains some.
  • Butter good too? I recall dat its used to make biriyani which is supposedly one of the best rice dishes, tho I never tried

I like the taste of a bowl of plain white rice. A little margarine, salt and pepper... sometimes I will chop up some onion and throw it in the rice cooker
  • If someone has to tell u this then u have no right to be in the kitchen. Go buy a loaf of bread
